How to process

Required Document: Complete the Application Form for “Friends of IAM” Membership Card (The form can be obtained for free from any of the Public Services Centres or downloaded from the IAM website.)

Documents to be presented:

1.(For Macao resident)
-Original of a valid Macao SAR Resident Identity Card;
2.(For non-resident of Macao)
-Original of a valid Non-resident Worker’s Identity Card or a valid Special Authorization to Stay issued by the competent authority of Macao with validity of not less than 3 months;
-If the applicant is a student, original of a valid Special Authorization to Stay and a valid Student Card with validity of not less than 3 months should be presented.

Important note:

For applicants aged under 18, a completed application form signed by a parent or guardian should be submitted with a photocopy of valid identity document of the said parent or guardian.

Progress enquiry and obtaining result of service

Methods of collection of service results

1. Collection in person at Public Services Centres

 – Collection in person: The original of the applicant’s valid identification document and the receipt issued by IAM must be produced;

 – Collection on behalf of applicant: A photocopy of the applicant’s valid identification document, the receipt issued by IAM and the original of the valid identification document of the person collecting the membership card must be produced.

*If the relevant receipt cannot be produced, the person collecting the membership card can produce the SMS notification sent by IAM and the original of the applicant’s valid identification document instead.

2. Electronic membership card

Macao One Account: The applicant can bind the processed membership card to “My cards” with simple clicks in “Macao One Account” mobile application for future use.

 – IAM Connect: The applicant can bind the processed membership card to “My account”-Friends of IAM Membership Card in IAM’s “IAM Connect” mobile application for future use.

3. Self-collection at “Smart Collect” Smart Locker

The “Friends of IAM” electronic membership card can be collected through the “Smart Collect” Smart Locker. If the applicant is not able to pick up the document on time from the “Smart Collect” Smart Locker at the selected Government 24-hour Self-service Centre, the relevant membership card will be returned to a designated Public Service Centre under IAM. The applicant will then need to pay close attention to Macao One Account notifications and SMS notifications, and collect the membership card at the designated centre.
