How to Apply?
Application Period：In January every year, the specified date is subject to the release of the DSEDJ.
Application Procedures and Documents Required：
Online registration:
- Log in to the webpage of the “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time”.
- Input the information of the child and his/ her parents/ guardian. An SMS with a verification code will be sent as notification after the submission of the information. Input the verification code and click the button “Submit”.
- A maximum of 6 schools can be selected. Parents should learn about the admission regulations and requirements of different schools before registering with the school(s).
- Input the “basic information” according to that on the identification document(s) and upload the child’s recent photo which meets the requirements. Then, click the button “Submit”.
- An SMS will be sent within 24 hours to confirm the registration after submitting the information.
Registration at the DSEDJ counters:
- 1 recent photo of the child, which meets the requirements.
- The child’s and his/ her father’s/ mother’s/ guardian’s original and photocopy of identification document(s). For children who are non-Macao residents, they must provide the “Slip of Authorisation to Stay” issued by the authorised entity of the Macao SAR or proof document(s) related to the child’s application for a stay or residence permit from the authorised entity of the Macao SAR.
- A valid Macao mobile phone number.
- Except the above documents, if a parent needs to authorise others to complete the formalities of registration, he/ she must fill in the letter of authorisation in advance. The person authorised must take the completed letter of authorisation, his/ her original and photocopy of identification document(s) to the DSEDJ counter(s) in person.

The counters are only open during the “Central Registration” and the release of the admission list and the admission list of waitlisted students. The specified date is subject to the release of the DSEDJ.

Online registration:
Central Registration allows parents to choose and register at the preferred schools online. Parents can process online registration through their children’s “Macao One Account” or select “General Log in” on the webpage of “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time” on the DSEDJ website（www.dsedj.gov.mo）. If they choose “General Log in”, they will receive an SMS verification code after entering the information according to the instructions. Registration process:
- Input the “basic information” according to that on the identity documents and upload the child’s recent photo which meets the requirements.
- A maximum of 6 schools can be selected.
Parents should learn about the characteristics, admission regulations, interview date of different schools before registration. - Input the “supplementary information” as requested by the selected school(s). Then, click the button “Confirm and Submit”.
- An SMS will be sent to confirm the registration within 24 hours after submission of the information.

Processing Time
If parents register at the DSEDJ counters, after submitting all the information, the application that matches the criteria will be confirmed by an SMS within 5 working days.
Remarks / Guidance Notes
- Parents register on the DSEDJ website or at the DSEDJ counters.
- Schools set no limit to the number of registrants and interviews. There is also no priority for early registration in the Central Registration System. Therefore, parents do not need to rush to be the first to register.
- It must ensure that all the registration information is complete and correct. Incorrect registration information may lead to the cancellation of interview(s) by the school(s).
- If parents register their children at foreign language school(s), parents should input the relevant information in the language as required by the school(s).
- Parents must take note of the admission regulations released by the schools selected for their children to attend, pay attention to the interview dates and time of different schools before registering with the schools to reduce the chance(s) of time clash between interviews.
- Specifications of the child’s recent photo: ID photo taken in full face, without wearing a hat.
- The image in the photo must be clear. No effect lenses are allowed.
- The photo must be full-faced and show the facial features of the child clearly.
- File name: All file names should be in lowercase English letters, excluding the accent marks used in Portuguese or Chinese.
- File format: Image file
- File size: Each file should not be larger than 2MB
- For twin/ multiple birth children, parents are recommended to register them with the same valid Macao mobile phone number.
- Macao residents can apply for “School for Macao Children” in Hengqin through Central Registration; it is not counted as the registration limit of 6 schools.
- The name, gender, date of birth and identity card number of the child will be verified by the Identification Services Bureau.
- Parents must agree that the personal information provided will be transferred to the school(s) selected for registration for the purpose of processing enrolment.
- If Central Registration is completed through “General login”, parents have to keep the verification code sent by an SMS, so that they can log in to the DSEDJ website later to consult, amend and confirm the registration information online.
- If Central Registration is completed through the electronic platform of “Common Access to Public Services of the Macao SAR”, the registration information must be consulted, amended and confirmed through the platform.

During the implementation of the measure, if parents register online, they can consult the information on the webpage of the “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time” on the DSEDJ website at https://www.dsedj.gov.mo
