1. Visual elements and New Media principles as fundamental elements of the digital aesthetic world; 2. Visual art and digital aesthetics; 3. The notion of interactivity and digital arts. The interactive condition in contemporary aesthetics and culture; 4. Elements for a dramaturgical history of interactivity: from the Renaissance perspective to the interactive cinema; 5. The aesthetic condition of the digital interface (devices and art installation); 6. Interpretation and aesthetic appreciation of the new media art and its respective meaning; 7. Analysis and description of relevant works of new media art; 8. The contemporary development of new media art, its interpretation, understanding and effects in society. |

1. to foster the theoretical and practical discourse in articulation with the different areas of contemporary digital art production; 2. to stimulate the critical and analytical reflection of the digital aesthetics and digital culture; 3. to know how to contextualise from a historical and theoretical point of view the digital culture and the aesthetics of interactivity; 4. to recognise the typologies of the aesthetics of the new media art, in particular to their production and reception devices; 5. to recognise the different typologies of digital production: from the Internet to net-art; from text to hypertext; from video art to interactive cinema; from the aesthetics of the real to the aesthetics of the virtual. |
