MGTO presents The Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Rat to share blessings on 3rd Day and 8th Day of Lunar New Year

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will present the mega celebration event — “Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Rat” at the central and northern districts on the 3rd day (27 January) and 8th day (1 February) of Lunar New Year respectively to celebrate the joyful occasion with residents and visitors. The event features a range of spectacular activities including float parade, mega performances, fireworks display, float exhibition, Favourite Parade Float Voting and more.


CCM challenges local filmmakers LVP hunting for new shots

Residential property price index for September – November 2019

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for September - November 2019 held steady compared to the previous period (August - October 2019), at 267.4; the index for the Macao Peninsula (268.9) grew by 0.1% while that for Taipa & Coloane (261.5) dropped by 0.3%.

UM’s English Debating Team ranks among the world’s top 8

The University of Macau (UM) English Debating Team (EDT) recently entered the quarter-final in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) category of the World Universities Debating Championship 2020 (WUDC) held in Bangkok, Thailand. UM was the only university in China to advance to this stage of the competition.




Exhibition “The Forbidden City and Maritime Silk Road” opens Featuring over a hundred of cultural relics to showcase the beauty of the flourishing age

The Macao Museum of Art (MAM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), and the Palace Museum will jointly present the second phase of “The Long Journey” mega exhibition series, namely “The Long Journey: The Forbidden City and Maritime Silk Road” and “Cultural and Creative Products from the Palace Museum and Education Area”, at the MAM from 11am on 11 January 2020. By displaying the rich collections of cultural relics in a variety of ways, these exhibitions will lead visitors to reminisce on the boom in cultural exchange which occurred between the East and the West, and appreciate the extraordinary significance of mutual learning among civilizations and people-to-people bonds.
