Consumer Council released 5th supermarket price survey report of the current month

The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the second-half of November on 20 November for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 14 supermarkets in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.



Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “30th Anniversary of the Professional Civil Servants Association of Macao”

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Professional Civil Servants Association of Macao, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philatelic Shop of General Post Office, from 9:00 to 12:00 on 30th November 2019 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “30th Anniversary of the Professional Civil Servants Association of Macao”.



Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “130th Anniversary of the Founding of the Pui Ching Middle School”

To celebrate the 130th Anniversary of the Founding of the Pui Ching Middle School, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at Avenida de Horta e Costa, No.7, Pui Ching Middle School, from 11:00 to 16:30 on 23rd November 2019 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “130th Anniversary of the Founding of the Pui Ching Middle School”.

Gross Value Added of all economic activities of Macao increased by 5.8% year-on-year in real terms in 2018, underpinned by the growth in Gross Value Added of Gaming & Junket Activities (+10.0%) and Hotels & Similar Activities (+11.4%). The ratio of Gross Value Added to Gross Output of all economic activities rose by 1.4 percentage points to 69.0%.


2019 Macao International Parade holds outreach performances in the community

The “2019 Macao International Parade”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macao’s handover to China, will be held on 8 December. Themed around the cultures of countries and regions along the Initiative “One Belt, One Road”, this year’s Parade features 61 local groups and 19 groups from 16 countries and regions. During the three consecutive weeks before the day of the Parade (from 18 November to 7 December), a number of local and foreign participating groups will present an array of excellent outreach performances in the community.




Results of visitor expenditure survey for the 3rd quarter of 2019

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that total spending (excluding gaming expenses) of visitors in the third quarter of 2019 dropped by 17.2% year-on-year to MOP15.20 billion, with that of overnight visitors (MOP12.19 billion) and same-day visitors (MOP3.01 billion) decreasing by 20.0% and 3.2% respectively. In the first three quarters of 2019, total spending of visitors amounted to MOP47.83 billion, down by 6.7% year-on-year; total spending of overnight visitors (MOP37.39 billion) fell by 9.4%, whereas that of same-day visitors (MOP10.45 billion) increased by 4.6% on account of a 30.6% surge in number of same-day visitors.
