Sharing Achievements of Traditional Medicine Deepening International Exchange and Cooperation 2019 Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum (Macao, China) to Open on 25 September
Hosted by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China, and coordinated by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao (hereinafter referred to as GMTCM Park), the 2019 Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum (Macao, China) will open at The Venetian Macao on 25 September. The two-day forum, themed as "Sharing Achievements of Traditional Medicine, Deepening International Exchange and Cooperation", will be attended by more than 700 participants from mainland China, Macao, the EU, ASEAN and Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.

Visitor arrivals for August 2019
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that visitor arrivals increased by 6.5% year-on-year to 3,623,116 in August 2019; same-day visitors (1,926,319) surged by 20.2% while overnight visitors (1,696,797) dropped by 5.7%. The average length of stay of visitors held stable at 1.2 days, with that of overnight visitors (2.3 days) rising by 0.1 day and same-day visitors (0.2 day) remaining unchanged.

Distribution work of Wealth Partaking Scheme 2019 finished
The distribution work of 2019 Wealth Partaking Scheme finished on 13 September this year. In the course of implementation, 377,489 beneficiaries had received the cash premium by means of bank transfer, accounting for MOP$ 3,690,098,000, while 338,621 crossed cheques had been mailed, which summed up to MOP$ 3,280,238,000. Until the present time, 239,603 cheques were honoured, representing 70.8% of the total number of cheques issused.

Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “150th Anniversary of Postcards”
To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Postcards, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philatelic Shop of General Post Office and the Communications Museum on 1st October 2019, from 9:00 to 17:30 providing the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “150th Anniversary of Postcards”.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Portugal and the 20th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, the Macao Orchestra (OM, from the Portuguese acronym) embarked a tour in Portugal, co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office, performing in four cities namely, Évora, Coimbra, Portalegre, and Lisbon. During the visit, OM will participate in the world-famous Marvão International Music Festival in Portalegre and the Festival TODOS in Lisbon.
