FSS and DSF Jointly Organize a Briefing Session on Electronic Filing Service

To cope with the implementation of e-governance of the SAR Government, starting July this year, the "Electronic Filing Service" of the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) and Financial Services Bureau (abbreviated to DSF in Macao) will change to be logged in with the entity user account of "My Government Account of Macao SAR". A few days ago, the two departments jointly organized a briefing session at the Convention Center of Macao Science Center to explain the use of the new login method, as well as the procedures for reporting employee’s social security contributions and professional tax. The first briefing session targeted at personnel from the public sector, with more than 110 people from 62 departments participating.


MPI Students and Staff Attended the Rewarding National Security Education Exhibition

In order to strengthen the sense of national security, promote the traditional values of love for the motherland and love for Macao, enhance students’ sense of patriotism and actively support the Macao SAR’s work on national security education, more than 100 Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) students and staff attended the National Security Education Exhibition at the Sino-Lusophone Business Cooperation Service Platform Complex on 21st April. Participating students and staff stated that national security is closely related to regional safety as well as our daily life, which is interlocked in the social, economical and living aspects, and they are proud of China’s prosperity.


MGTO joins PATA Annual Summit 2021 running online

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is participating in the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit 2021, which opened today (April 27) in a virtual format, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Centered around the theme “Reflect, Reconnect, Revive”, the event is holding a string of sessions to discuss key issues facing the tourism industry as it looks towards recovery. The programme also includes once again a platform for tourism students and young professionals, with MGTO Director, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, acting as one of this year’s PATA Youth Mentors.


Macao Public Library under the Cultural Affairs Bureau launches 26th issue of Books and the City

The 26th issue of Books and the City, published by the Macao Public Library under the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is now available to the public. Themed “Nourishment of Reading”, this issue of Books and the City features three senior writers from different fields, sharing their personal experiences on how to discover a new self from the inside out through reading from the perspective of communication studies, spiritual growth and art of liberation.


Alteration of the closing hours of Lou Kau Mansion on 11 May and from 13 to 15 May

Due to the staging of the performance Property Guide at Lou Kau Mansion, integrated in the 31st Macao Art Festival, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Lou Kau Mansion will close at 5pm on 11 May and from 13 to 15 May, and the second floor will be temporarily closed from 3 to 16 May.


Exchange for the Rat and Ox Zodiac banknotes and the 20th Anniversary of the Return to the Motherland of Macao banknotes commencing next Tuesday

The online registration process for the exchange of the Rat and Ox Zodiac banknotes and the 20th Anniversary of the Return to the Motherland of Macao banknotes has already been completed successfully. Starting from next Tuesday (4 May), all participating banks will conduct the exchange with registrants for the mentioned banknotes.


MGTO’s “Travel Stimulation Program” will cover sports travel and widen support items from May

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) will launch the renewed “Travel Stimulation Program” (referred to as the “Program”) on 1 May, to expand its coverage of beneficiaries and activities with a wider spectrum of support items, to enhance Macao’s charm as a destination for business and sport tourism activities among other travel experiences. The Program will be renewed to diversify visitor source and revive Macao’s tourism and economy in parallel with the Macao SAR Government’s direction to enhance concerted development between tourism and other related industries and deepen “tourism +” cross-sector integration.

CATTI Tests are now accepting applications MPI will provide training for all registered candidates

CATTI tests will be hosted by Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI). The first CATTI Tests in Chinese-Portuguese and Chinese-English are scheduled to take place at MPI on June 19 and 20. To help candidates to prepare for the tests effectively, the School of Languages and Translation of MPI will provide training for all registered candidates on June 2 and June 5 respectively, and will not charge any cost. Interested candidates can log on MPI’s “language training and testing” website from May 1 to May 15 https://www.ipm.edu.mo/eslt/zh/catti.php to register and select one of the two sessions under the section of “Training for CATTI candidates”. Seats will be limited.
