UM, Brunel University hold joint seminar to discuss technologies for smart city development
A joint seminar on big data analytics for smart city was recently held at the University of Macau (UM) Institute of Collaborative Innovation. The event was organised by UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC), with assistance from Brunel University. During the event, experts and scholars from around the world had an in-depth discussion on technologies for smart city development.

Worship ceremony to pray for success of the Parade Handover Celebration to be held on Sunday
Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), and other governmental and non-governmental organizations, the “2018 Macao International Parade”, in celebration of the 19th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, will be held on Sunday, 16 December. In order to entreat success to the event, IC held a worship ceremony including a lion dance performance today (14 December), at the Largo da Companhia de Jesus, in a cheerful and lively atmosphere, attracting many spectators.

Foreign exchange reserves and nominal effective exchange rate index for the pataca – November 2018
The Monetary Authority of Macao announced today that the preliminary estimate of Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to MOP158.9 billion (USD19.72 billion) at the end of November 2018. The reserves increased by 0.3% from the revised value of MOP158.4 billion (USD19.61 billion) for the previous month. Macao SAR’s foreign exchange reserves at end-November 2018 represented 10 times the currency in circulation or 81.1% of pataca M2 at end-October 2018.
