Consumer Council released 6th supermarket price survey report of the current month
The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the second-half of December on 18 December for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 10 supermarkets in Santo António Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.

Thematic pack “20th Anniversary of The Establishment of The Macao Special Administrative Region”
In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Reunification of Macao with the Motherland, Macao Post and Telecommunications will issue a thematic pack under the theme “20thAnniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region” on that date. This pack comprises 6 series of stamps and souvenir sheets with the significance of the Establishment of the Macao SAR, which included the Establishment of the Macao SAR, the 1st, the 5th, the 10th, the 15th and the 20th Anniversary. In which the overprinted souvenir sheet “The Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region” is included.
Chinese New Year Card
To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue a new design Chinese New Year cardwhich is giving blessings to relatives and friends in distance. This card will be available for sale at the General Post Office and all post offices on 26th December, 2019.

Celebrate 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR with the art of light Local mapping shows will come into spotlight on 20th December
Unveiled on 1st December, “Macao Light Festival 2019 – Explore the Light” continues to light up the city with a beautiful extravaganza for residents and visitors in joyful celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region. The Festival offers a wonderful way to fill this festive season with sparkling memories, as Winter solstice, Christmas and New Year’s Eve successively arrive. Two local teams will present projection mapping shows from 20th to 31st December, offering spectators a window onto the trail Macao has blazed through the last two decades and a gaze into the bright future.

Submission of works for the ‘Macao International Parade’ photography contest ends on 31 December
Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2019 Macao International Parade in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Macao’s handover to China was successfully held on 8 December. In order to engage more residents in local cultural events and encourage them to visually memorialize the impressive moments of the Parade, IC has once again launched the 2019 Macao International Parade photography contest this year with the entry submission deadline set for 31 December 2019.

A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains 3.0 debuts in Macao
The Macao Museum of Art (MAM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), and the Palace Museum will jointly present the mega exhibition series under the theme “The Long Journey”. The exhibition “A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains 3.0”, as the first phase of the exhibition series, was inaugurated on Tuesday, 17 December, at 6pm, at the Exhibition Gallery on the 2nd floor of the MAM. The Opening ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, Luo Shugang; the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, Alexis Tam Chon Weng; the Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, Xue Xiaofeng; the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR, Shen Beili; the President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Mok Ian Ian; the Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office of the Macao SAR Government, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes; the President and Executive Director of Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings, Liu Changle; the Vice President and General manager of the Macao Daily News, Wan Nang Hon; and the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Chan Kai Chon.

Some flights will be rescheduled during 20th anniversary of Macao SAR
In view of the need to cope with the 20thanniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR, some of the flights at Macau International Airport will be rescheduled to cater for the execution of the respective activities or programmes in the airport.

UM inaugurates its state key labs’ Hengqin branch
The University of Macau (UM) today (17 December) held an inauguration ceremony for the Hengqin branch of its three state key laboratories. During the ceremony, UM signed an agreement on the establishment of a branch of the Hengqin Intelligent Computing Platform in Macao. This signals UM’s growing involvement in technological innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

UM’s new EMBA programme now open for applications
The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) will launch an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme in the 2020/2021 academic year. The two-year programme aims to help students gain a clear understanding of the ever-changing business environment and to enable them to identify and seize the opportunities and meet the challenges in an increasingly globalised world.
