Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that number of MICE events held in the first quarter of 2019 increased by 49 year-on-year to 377 (including 362 meetings & conferences, 10 exhibitions and 5 incentives). Total number of participants and attendees rose by 19.9% to 333,000.

The Director of the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC), Ieong Meng Chao, gave a sharing session titled “A Dialogue between Students and DSEC Director: Let the Numbers Speak” at Pooi To Middle School and Pui Ching Middle School on 16 and 21 May respectively. About 200 students joined the event in which the Director shared his knowledge and insights on statistics, promoted scientific thinking among the students and encouraged them to explore the world through statistics.

The seventh module of the Global Leadership Development Programme Series: International Integrated Resort Management, co-organised by the University of Macau’s (UM) Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) and Rikkyo University (RU) in Japan, is now open for enrolment. The seminar on “EU Current Political Changes and Challenges - Update on EU’s Internal Developments, EU-China and EU-Macao Relations” will take place on May 30^th from 9:30am to 12:30pm in the auditorium of the Legal Affairs Bureau (DSAJ) located on Alameda Dr. Carlos D’ Assumpção n.° 398, CNAC Building, 6th floor. The seminar aims at deepening the legal practitioners’ and the general public’s understanding of the European Union and the latest condition of its relationship with China and the Macao SAR. This training is co-organised by the DSAJ and the Institute of European Studies of Macau.

After nine years of growth, the IIICF has built itself into an annual industrial gala on the international stage.
