Residential property price index for June – August 2018
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the overall residential property price index for June - August 2018 decreased by 0.3% over the previous period (May - July 2018) to 269.9. The indices for the Macao Peninsula (272.2) and Taipa & Coloane (259.3) dropped by 0.3% and 0.1% respectively.

Restaurants and similar establishments survey 2017
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that number of operating restaurants, eating & drinking places and cooked-food stalls in municipal markets increased by 44 year-on-year to 2,309 in 2017, including 2,237 restaurants, eating & drinking places and 72 cooked-food stalls. Number of persons engaged totalled 32,749 (+198), and 96.1% of them were employees. Receipts of the industry amounted to MOP 11.22 billion, up by 5.5% year-on-year; expenditure grew by 5.0% to MOP 11.01 billion. Gross Surplus totalled MOP 215 million, up by 23.2%, and Gross Surplus Ratio edged up by 0.3 percentage points to 1.9%. Gross Value Added that measures the sectoral contribution to the economy amounted to MOP 4.06 billion, up by 3.4%, while Gross Fixed Capital Formation decreased by 8.0% to MOP 318 million.

Consular corps accredited in Hong Kong and Macao attend 32nd Macao International Music Festival
On the occasion of the 32nd Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), the Macao S.A.R. Government invited members of the consular corps accredited in Hong Kong and Macao to participate in a visit organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, on 6 October, to an art exhibition, also giving the delegation the opportunity to attend a 32nd MIMF concert.
