Suncity Group 65th Macau Grand Prix Entries Announced for November Motorsport Spectacular

The Suncity Group 65th Macau Grand Prix will be held from November 15-18. The programme includes six races, three of which are official FIA World Cups. The Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee (MGPOC) held a press conference today (October 18th) at the Macao Science Center to announce information about the event, including provisional entries for all races and promotional and celebratory activities.





UM to hold talk on cultural exchange between Chinese and Portuguese artists

The University of Macau (UM) Confucius Institute will hold a talk titled ‘Beyond Cultural Encounters – Stories about Chinese and Portuguese Artists’ Joint Efforts’ on 24 October. Leong Iok Fai, an artist from Macao; André Aveline António, vice president of the Macau Orient Painting and Calligraphy Association and a Macanese artist; and Gonçalo Cardoso de Menezes, an architect and painter from Portugal, will share their experience and have an in-depth discussion on the historical background of cultural exchange between Chinese and Portuguese artists.




Tap Siac Craft Market Thematic Talk—The Dream of Zeng Dejun, the “Father of Tube Radio”

To enrich local creative practitioners’ experience in creation and marketing, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has invited Zeng Dejun, dubbed the “Father of Tube Radio” in Mainland China, to give a talk during the course of the Tap Siac Craft Market. The talk is entitled “Originality of a Radio Lover—Zeng Dejun’s Dream of Radio”, and will be held at the Macao Museum’s Auditorium on 17 November 2018, from 3pm to 5pm, being open to the public’s participation.


Macao Public Library launches the 16th issue of Books and the City

The Macao Public Library of the Cultural Affairs Bureau launches the 16th issue of Books and the City, which is already available to the public. This issue introduces to readers Macao’s largest library with ancient books in western languages – the IACM Building Library – exploring the interesting stories behind the collection of valuable ancient books.
