MGTO showcases Macao at ITB Berlin promotes Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through joint booth
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is promoting Macao as a travel destination at ITB Berlin, running from 6 to 10 March at the German capital, to attract more international visitors from long-haul markets. MGTO also joins the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province and Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) to run a collaborative booth at ITB, tapping into the potential unlocked by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area development by showcasing pertinent tourism resources abroad.

UM’s Master of Science in Data Science programme now open for applications
The University of Macau (UM) will launch a Master of Science in Data Science programme in the 2019/2020 academic year to nurture a new type of professionals in big data. The new programme covers various areas, including artificial intelligence, marketing, financial technology, precision medicine, and intelligent education, with the aim of promoting the use of big data in different disciplines and the integration of data science and big data applications. This is the first interdisciplinary programme in big data ever launched in Macao. The programme is now open for applications until 15 April.

Interdepartmental drill on class-suspension notification due to inclement weather
In order to review the notification mechanism for class suspension due to inclement weather; to enhance the effectiveness of interdepartmental collaboration; to achieve sound execution of class-suspension notification; to allow residents, schools, parents and students to get the class-suspension information promptly; the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) will conduct an interdepartmental drill on class-suspension notification due to issuance of rainstorm warning signal on 10th March (Sunday). The participating departments include: the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG), Fire Services Bureau, Public Security Police Force, Transport Bureau, Department of Chinese News of TDM - Teledifusão de Macau, Radio Macau, Macau Lotus TV, Macau Asia Satellite TV, Macau Cable TV and Macao Daily News, etc.
