Cartography and Cadastre Bureau launched the English version of “The Walking Routes Map” and the thematic website

To stay in line with the policy objectives of the Macao SAR Government to create an appropriate environment, Cartography and Cadastre Bureau has collaborated with the Transport Bureau, the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau, the Transportation Infrastructure Office, Macao Government Tourism Office, the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Cultural Affairs Bureau to launch “The Walking Routes Map” and the thematic website at the end of last year, in Chinese and Portuguese version. In order to upgrade the international image of Macao as a world tourism and leisure city, further improve and optimize “The Walking Routes Map” and the thematic website, our Bureau launched an English version for residents and visitors to learn about the walking systems and walking routes map.


Hac Sa Beach passes water quality tests

The Marine and Water Bureau was notified by the Laboratory of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau that the latest test result of water samples taken from the sea at Hac Sa Beach proved negative for Vibrio cholerae, and other parameters of water quality were within the required standards. The Bureau will lower the red flag and remove the notices at the Beach. Related departments will continue to monitor the situation and provide the public with the latest information in a timely manner.

Consumer Council conducted its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 16 August for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets in São Lázaro and São Lourenço Parishes.

The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) is preparing local measures to support implementation of the Central Government’s new regulation relating to residential permits on the mainland, an initiative that will benefit Macao residents.


Network of 16 shelters set up for typhoon-related storm surges

The Government’s network of 16 emergency shelters spread across Macao can accommodate an aggregate of 24,000 people in case of storm surges during a typhoon.






CCM’s acting project Drama master inspires local actors

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is calling for actors to join an acting residency with prestigious Hong Kong director Fredric Mao. With a theatrical career spanning through several decades, Mao has been recognized both as an actor and a director by the Hong Kong Drama Awards, amongst many other accolades. Under his direction, a group of selected local actors will have a unique chance to step on stage in a professional production specially conceived for this creative endeavour.
