Visitor arrivals for June 2018
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that visitor arrivals totalled 2,602,853 in June 2018, up by 9.4% year-on-year. Overnight visitors (1,445,431) and same-day visitors (1,157,422) grew by 7.2% and 12.4% respectively year-on-year. The average length of stay of visitors held steady year-on-year at 1.3 days, with that of overnight visitors rising by 0.1 day to 2.2 days while that of same-day visitors staying at 0.2 day.

MFE Forges Ahead Together with Business Associations and Enterprises in its 10th Year
The Macao Franchise Expo 2018 (2018MFE) has entered its 10th year since its debut in 2009. Nine years' development has nurtured the MFE into a widely recognised international franchise exhibition and an ideal trading platform for franchise businesses with outstanding achievements. Some of the co-organisers opine that the MFE that the event has become more and more mature over the years. Elements of current international economic development are well integrated into the theme, venue, as well as various exhibition areas, helping exhibitors and participants in exploring business opportunities. In addition, many enterprises that continue to attend this year's MFE not only make use of the event to enhance the "soft power" of their brands, but also take it as a springboard to expand their market in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area. Furthermore, the companies also seek to gather market information at the MFE in order to formulate their future marketing strategy.

Consumer Council conducted its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 20 July for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets near Horte e Costa, Avenida do Ouvidor Arriaga and Rua da Emenda areas in Santo António Parish.
