Seminar on “Jurisdiction and Sustainability: Maritime Planning and Transportation”

On 20 December 2015, the State Council clarified the jurisdiction of land and sea areas of the Macao Special Administrative Region (the Macao SAR) by the publication of the “Map of the Administrative Division of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China” through Decree no. 665. Since then, the Macao SAR shall officially govern, in accordance with the law, a maritime area covering 85 square kilometres. This will be beneficial for the promotion and consolidation of the integration and cooperation between the Macao SAR and other neighbour regions. In this context, the Legal and Judicial Training Centre is going to organise a five-day seminar on “Jurisdiction and Sustainability: Maritime Planning and Transportation” at the auditorium of the Civil Service Training Centre located on Alameda Dr. Carlos D’ Assumpção, Cheng Feng Commercial Centre, 7th floor, on June 11th to 15th , from 6:15pm to 8:30pm.


29th Macao Arts Festival concluded successfully

The 29th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), has been concluded on 31 May, presenting 26 excellent performances and artistic exhibitions as well as an outreach programme, in a total of over 100 activities, earning an enthusiastic response from local and overseas audience. The overall ticketing rate reached nearly 86%.



Consumer Council released latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ Surveyed spots included 13 supermarkets in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish

Consumer Council conducted its second ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 6 June for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets near Iao Hon Market and the Border Gate area (Portas do Cerco ) in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish.


Financial sector should ensure appropriate risk management measures

The Monetary Authority of Macao (hereafter “AMCM”) is endowed with responsibilities to promote the financial security and stability of the Macao SAR. With the aim to properly implement the risk-based supervisory approach, AMCM has been requesting all financial institutions to establish sound risk management for the provision of any authorized financial services.
