Credit card statistics –4th quarter 2019
According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, the total number of personal credit cards issued by banks in Macao continued to rise in the fourth quarter of 2019. Both the credit card turnover and total repayments witnessed year-on-year growth.

Consumer price index (CPI) January 2020
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI (103.52) for January 2020 increased by 2.98% year-on-year, up by 0.42 percentage points compared to December 2019 (+2.56%). The increment was attributable to higher charges for eating out and package tours, rising rentals for dwellings as well as dearer prices of fresh pork and gasoline.

Cultural Affairs Bureau cancels all activities scheduled for March Cultural venues remain temporarily closed
As the prevention and control work of the novel coronavirus is still in an important phase, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), cancelled all external activities scheduled for March.Considering that the cultural venues under the auspices of the IC are indoor spaces, in order to reduce the risk of spread of epidemic in the community and avoid contact and concentration of people, all cultural venues will remain closed until further notice.
