In the course of implementation, 377,489 beneficiaries had received the cash premium by means of bank transfer, accounting for MOP$ 3,690,098,000, while 338,621 crossed cheques had been mailed, which summed up to MOP$ 3,280,238,000. Until the present time, 239,603 cheques were honoured, representing 70.8% of the total number of cheques issused.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the 40^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Portugal and the 20^th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China, the Macao Orchestra (OM, from the Portuguese acronym) embarked a tour in Portugal, co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office, performing in four cities namely, Évora, Coimbra, Portalegre, and Lisbon. During the visit, OM will participate in the world-famous Marvão International Music Festival in Portalegre and the Festival TODOS in Lisbon.

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI (116.41) for August 2019 increased by 2.83% year-on-year, up by 0.23 percentage points from the 2.60% growth in July 2019. The increment in August was attributable to higher charges for eating out, rising rentals for dwellings and dearer prices of fresh pork, motor cars, gasoline and gold jewellery. The soaring prices of fresh pork in particular contributed 0.32 percentage points to the growth.
