“2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Film Production Investment and Trade Fair” concluded successfully

The “2019 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Film Production Investment and Trade Fair” (hereinafter referred to as “the Fair”), co-organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR, the Film Administration of Guangdong Province and Create Hong Kong, was concluded successfully. The Fair facilitated interaction and exchange between the film industries of the three regions, with awards presented to two film projects.

Consumer Council released 3rd supermarket price survey report of the current month

The Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ of the first-half of September on 11 September 2019 for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 10 supermarkets in Santo António Parish. Consumers may now check the report data on the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), the “Supermarket Price Information Platform” app, or the Council’s WeChat account.


Applications for the “7th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making”of the Cultural Affairs Bureau open today

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) is accepting application for the “7th Subsidy Programme for Fashion Design on Sample Making” from today until 25 October 2019 (Friday), 5pm. Eligible applicants will be granted subsidies of up to a maximum of MOP170,000 for sample production and promotional materials of selected entries.


Mortgage loans statistics – July 2019

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) and commercial real estate loans (CRELs) both fell in July 2019. With regard to the outstanding balances, RMLs increased whereas CRELs witnessed a decrease.


Senado Library closes temporarily for renovation

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will carry out renovation works in the Senado Library, located at the IAM Building at No.163 Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, from 16 September (Monday). The renovation works, including the repaint of the interior walls and the replacement of power supply and air-conditioning equipments, are estimated to be completed by January 2020. During the renovations, the Senado Library will be closed temporarily to the public. For enquiries, please call IC through tel. 2856 7576 during office hours.

33rd Macao International Music Festival promotes prize game in its website

The 33rd Macao International Music Festival (MIMF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held in October. Themed “The Instrumentalist”, this edition of the MIMF offers 17 programmes in a total of 22 excellent performances, celebrating a truly musical feast with aficionados. Since the first day of ticket sales, the 33rd MIMF has received an overwhelming response. Tickets for some programmes are already limited, and the public is advised to purchase them as soon as possible. In order to create a festive atmosphere, the Organizer specially launched “The Charm of Musical Instruments” prize game allowing the public to win fabulous prizes.
