UM to hold Open Day on 22 April

Have you ever been to the university that belongs to Macao people? If your answer is no, then you definitely shouldn’t miss the University of Macau Open Day to be held on Sunday 22 April. Even if you have been there before, this signature annual event of the university is still worth a visit. There will be various activities on the Open Day, including carefully designed workshops, interesting experiments, exciting performances, academic programme consultation, knowledge and physical contests, booth games, as well as fun family-friendly games. These activities will be suitable for visitors of all ages, with themes covering science and technology, literature, creative art, and sports. Visitors will get a taste of UM’s unique model of education that makes learning an enjoyable experience. Macao residents and tourists, especially students and their parents, are all welcome to attend the event.






Airport conducts fuel farm exercise

Macau International Airport carried out the fuel farm exercise this afternoon (10 April 2018) to simulate a fire in the farm. All entities involved cooperated closely with each other in resolving the crisis. The exercise was deemed smooth.


“Tap Siac Craft Market” celebrates 10th anniversary and opens on Friday Over 200 cultural and creative booths set up at Tap Siac Square

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be held from 13 to 15 April and from 20 to 22 April for two consecutive weekends (Friday to Sunday), at Tap Siac Square. The opening ceremony will be held on 13 April, at 6pm. This year is the 10th anniversary of the “Tap Siac Craft Market”, featuring a diversity of cultural and creative activities including 220 local and foreign cultural and creative booths, 39 creative handicraft workshops, over 50 stage performances and interactive installations. All are welcome to participate and select their favourite cultural and creative products.




Macao Consumer Council provides co-operation platform for consumer organizations in Greater Bay Area and Portugal MOU signed to set up mechanism for referring and handling cases

Consumer organizations from 9 cities in the Greater Bay Area and 2 special administrative regions held a work conference on 10 April in Macao. Discussion and planning on work projects regarding consumer rights protection were made, and a “Memorandum of Co-operation for Consumer Protection in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area” was signed.
