Rosário to give talk at UM this Wed on infrastructure development

The University of Macau (UM) on Wednesday 11 April will hold a lecture titled ‘A Dialogue between Young People and the Secretary on the Infrastructure Development in Macao’, which will be part of the University Lecture Series. Raimundo Arrais do Rosário, secretary for transport and public works of the Macao SAR government, will be the keynote speaker. He will discuss the current development of key infrastructure projects in Macao.

The DSEJ reminds parents of children entering kindergarten for the first time to print the “Registration Slip” and complete the enrolment process

The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau continues to implement the “Central Registration for Children Entering Kindergarten for the First Time” (hereinafter referred to as “Central Registration”) for the academic year 2018/2019. School admission interviews were smoothly conducted in March and the admission lists will be released on 9th and 10th April. The DSEJ reminds parents to print the “Registration Slip” at the self-service kiosks in different districts between 3rd and 14th April, and submit it to the school selected for their children to attend within the specific period so as to complete the enrolment process. The “Registration Slip” is valid until 30th April this year.


Superstar composer at CCM Ludovico Einaudi rocks Macao this June

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, presents the Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi in a unique concert to be held at the Grand Auditorium on June 10. Appearing with his band, the world-renowned musician will be performing at the piano an anthology of his best compositions.


Macao Arts Festival Launches Prized Game and Invites Public to Participate

The 29th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), will kick off at the end of this month. Since the first day of ticket sales, the MAF has received an overwhelming response and high expectations for its various shows. In addition to these programmes, the Organiser is also launching a prized game on Facebook and all are welcome to participate.


Macao applying to join WHO network of Emergency Medical Teams

Macao has applied to join a global network of emergency services under the World Health Organization (WHO), in order to enhance the city’s capabilities in the event of any outbreaks of disease or of any public emergencies.


OM takes concert “The Future of Classical Music” to the University of Macau this Saturday

The Macao Orchestra (OM, from the Portuguese acronym) of the Cultural Affairs Bureau takes young Macao musicians this Saturday (14 April), at 8pm, to the University of Macau – University Hall (N2) to present the concert “The Future of Classical Music” under the guidance of OM’s Assistant Conductor, Francis Kan. Admissionis free.
