“Experience Macao-Portugal” mega promotion travels to Porto
Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, Alexis Tam, presided today (March 15, Porto time) over the opening of a Macao exhibition in Porto, the last stop of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) organized “Experience Macao – Portugal” mega promotion, conducted in tandem with Lisbon Travel Market (BTL, from its Portuguese acronym) 2019, where the city is this year’s International Guest Destination, and to highlight the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region (Macao SAR).

Macanese culinary is one of the highlights of the “Experience Macao – Portugal” mega promotion launched this week by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO). Macanese chefs cooking demonstrations and a food truck presenting Macanese delicacies at Lisbon Travel Market (BTL, from its Portuguese acronym) are among the activities organized to showcase the destination’s east-meets-west gastronomic culture and the designation of Macao as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

Hotline service of the platform“Information from the Public about Macao's Cultural Heritage”will be suspended temporarily for a certain period in the afternoon of 19 March due to system maintenance
The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) will carry system maintenance services on the telephone hotline of the platform “Information from the Public about Macao’s Cultural Heritage” from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Tuesday, 19 March. The hotline service will be temporarily suspended during this period of time. Meanwhile, residents can still notify IC about the condition of heritage buildings through the telephone no. 28366866, as well as through the website of “Cultural Heritage of Macao” (www.culturalheritage.mo/cn/report/), by email to chvoice@icm.gov.mo, through the Facebook page (IC Art) or IC’s WeChat account (ICmacao). Macao Special Administrative Region Classified as a Tax Jurisdiction Which Complies with the European Union Criteria for Tax Cooperation
The European Union (EU) listed Macao SAR as a non-cooperative tax jurisdiction at the end of 2017. However, with the support of the Central Government, the SAR Government has been actively communicating with the EU and has committed itself to implement a series of improvement measures to meet relevant international tax cooperation criteria. Later, the EU decided to remove Macao SAR from the list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions in January 2018. Since it has already undertaken the committed measures, Macao SAR, along with 24 other countries and regions, has been listed as one of the 43 tax jurisdictions that comply with the EU criteria for tax cooperation in the latest EU’s announcement on 12 March 2019.

Consumer Council conducted its ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 14 March for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included 12 supermarkets in Lam Mau, Patane and San Kio areas in Santo António Parish.
