MGTO actively prepares for Spring Festival Golden Week

As the seven-day Spring Festival Golden Week (15 – 21 February) is approaching, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is vigorously preparing for the arrival of the peak period by adopting different measures as follows: activating the tourism notification system, carrying out scrupulous inspections, reminding industry operators about different issues by letter, advising visitors to visit major attractions during off-peak hours, allocating staff at different locations to provide tourism information for visitors, publishing the food guide as well as staging a range of mega Chinese New Year celebrations, etc. The above measures are taken to safeguard service quality in the industry, optimize the tourism environment and cater to the needs of residents and visitors for a memorable time in Macao during the festive season.

Owing to the label stamp “Lunar Year of Dog” will be sold out soon, please be informed that the label stamp “Old Streets and Alleys” will be replaced for sale in the automatic stamp vending machines.



New measures to manage Macao’s residential property market

The Government has launched fresh measures to manage Macao’s property market, in order to promote a healthy long-term development of the sector.


Large Conventions Energise Community Economy and Local SMEs

Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) centralised the planning of all activities related to the Convention and Exhibition (also known as MICE) sector since 2016, IPIM had been collaborating with the administration of the Macao SAR Government and promoting the MICE industry by prioritising conventions through various means. In 2017, IPIM successfully encouraged plenty of MICE delegates to visit different communities to explore Macao. The organisers of large conventions were pleased with the professional arrangements while many of the delegates enjoyed themselves in the diverse range of events and shared their unforgettable experiences on social media. In the meantime, these large conventions stimulated the performance of local enterprises, which led to remarkable growth in their businesses. Macao won hands down with the perfect solution to benefit large sectors of the community.
