Twenty-fifth issue of C2 Magazine discusses the operation of catering businesses integrated with cultural and creative elements

Published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and produced by the Like Entertainment & Production Co. Ltd., the twenty-fifth issue of C2 Magazine will be launched on Wednesday, 7 February. With the development of the cultural and creative industry, the increase of the cultural connotation in the catering industry is becoming a trend. In the section “Feature”, representatives from three branded restaurants, including Café Voyage, Kiss Manner and Poli Café, discuss the operation of catering businesses integrated with cultural and creative elements by introducing the management of their respective branded restaurants.


AACM approves 80 extra and charter flights to meet Chinese New Year’s demand

To allow airlines to increase their capacity to meet the demand for air transport for the Chinese Year Year, the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) has approved a total of 80 extra and charter flights to and from mainland China, Taiwan China, Vietnam, Japan and Thailand.


Children’s theatre at CCM “Guess How Much I Love You” with additional shows

Due to an overwhelming ticket demand, the Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be presenting two additional shows of Guess How Much I Love You, a puppet musical that will entertain kids and their families. The two extra performances will take place at the Small Auditorium on March 30 and April 1, 2018 at 3 p.m.


Company statistics for the 4th quarter of 2017

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that a total of 1,226 new companies were incorporated in the fourth quarter of 2017, up by 179 year-on-year; total value of registered capital rose by 71.8% to MOP597 million. New companies operating in Wholesale & Retail (447), Business Services (297) and Construction (156) increased by 118, 10 and 29 respectively year-on-year. Companies in dissolution totalled 225, up by 32 year-on-year, and the value of registered capital of companies in dissolution amounted to MOP27 million.


Monetary and financial statistics – December 2017

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, broad money supply continued to grow in December with a stable share of patacas. Meanwhile, both resident deposits and loans rose from a month earlier.




78th Work Meeting of the Tourism Marketing Organization of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao held in Macao

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province and Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) jointly held the 78th Work Meeting of the Tourism Marketing Organization of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in Macao today (2 February), to exchange news and trends, deepen regional cooperation and discuss their joint promotional projects to roll out in 2018. Within the current tourism collaborative framework, the three parties continue to strengthen their united efforts in destination promotion domestically and overseas by seizing the opportunities brought by the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area.


Consumer Council released price survey on 11 festive foods

Consumer Council collected prices of 11 festive foods, including sweets and biscuits, from 24 retail outlets on 2 February for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12th June. The collected data has been uploaded to the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo) and the ‘Supermarket Price Information Platform’ iPhone and Android apps. Consumers can also check the data through the Council’s official WeChat account.


MPI Students Visit the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to Witness the Development of the Greater Bay Area

For the purpose of understanding the building and development of the Greater Bay Area, Professor Im Sio Kei, the Vice-President of Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) and 40 students have visited the longest seafaring bridge in the world-the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) on 27th January, 2017. The MPI Vice-President and students have been warmly welcomed by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority (HZMBA). MPI encouraged students to be broad-minded and open up their future, so as to bring their advantages to the diversified development of the Pearl River Delta.
