11th Macau Design Biennial opens tomorrow

The 11th Macau Design Biennial, jointly organised by the Macao Museum of Art, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and the Macau Designers Association and co-organised by the Macao Foundation, will be inaugurated on 18 December 2017, at 6:30pm, at the Special Exhibitions Gallery of the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao. The exhibition is open from 19 December to 31 March 2018.


Government to launch measures to control housing market

The Government planned shortly to launch mortgage- and tax-related measures designed to control the price of Macao housing, in order to promote a healthy development of the market.

IFT holds“Documenting Impermanence: An Exhibition of Reportage Photography by Alice Kok and her Students”

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) hosts “Documenting Impermanence: An Exhibition of Reportage Photography by Alice Kok and Students” at the Team Building of IFT from 15 December to 31 March 2018. The general public are invited to come and appreciate the snapshots of Macao’s daily life in the recent past via the lens of Ms. Kok and her students.




Exhibition “The Golden Parade” opened today (15 December) at the Macao Museum of Art

Jointly organised by the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Palace Museum, the Macao Foundation, the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Macao Daily News, the exhibition “The Golden Parade – Imperial Weaponry from the Palace Museum” was inaugurated today, 15 December, on the 4th floor of MAM. The exhibition features weaponry, equipment and devices produced by the imperial workshops, tributes from different regions of China and gifts offered by different countries to the Qing court, revealing the grand reviews of troops by the Qing emperors, imperial hunting, military drills and the military system itself, among others. The exhibition, which runs until 11 March 2018, allows visitors to comprehend political and military aspects and the life of the Imperial Palace court during the Qing dynasty, as well as the importance that the Qing attached to military power.
