MGTO promotes Macao as travel destination at Guangdong’s signature tourism event – Guangdong Tourism and Culture Festival 2017

Director of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, attended the opening ceremony of the Guangdong Tourism and Culture Festival 2017 and the establishment ceremony of the Tourism Federation of Cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area (referred to as the “Federation”) during the opening ceremony in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province today (12 December). MGTO is running a Macao tourism booth to promote Macao’s events, festivals and tourism resources at this signature tourism event in Guangdong.

The Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Leong Vai Tac, officiates at a reception hosted by the financial sector to celebrate the 68th National Day and the 18th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao SAR. Consumer Council conducted its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 12 December for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets near Horte e Costa, Avenida do Ouvidor Arriaga and Rua da Emenda areas in Santo António Parish.

UM holds international conference on EU’s future

An international conference titled, ‘60 Years after the Treaties of Rome: What is the Future for the European Union?’, opened at the University of Macau (UM), as an event under the European Union Academic Programme-Macau (EUAP-Macau). The conference was organised by UM’s Faculty of Law and received support from the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR.

Consumer Council conducts price survey on selling prices of fresh pork and vegetables from Zhuhai, HK, and Macao

For the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June, Consumer Council collects prices of fresh pork from wet markets and supermarkets for consumers’ reference on 12 December. The mentioned data collected during 6 December to 12 December are used for comparing the average selling price of the same products from Zhuhai and Hong Kong. The relevant data has been uploaded to the Council’s website for consumers’ reference.
