IFT students innovate business model for local SME

IFT students from the Programme of Tourism Retail and Marketing Management engaged in a consultancy project to serve a local retail business called Tin Vek, which focuses on the sales of video and audio entertainment products such as movies, television series, music, and the likes. This industry has been facing challenges due to changes in consumer attitude and behaviour towards audio-visual products. For example, consumers can purchase music and videos from online stores via their smartphones, subscribe to streaming services to access to unlimited content from various online platforms, or even download pirated materials for free. As a result, the traditional business model has to be changed in order to adapt to the needs of the current market.

Cultural Affairs Bureau launches applications for the 2018 Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums from 18 December

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is now opening applications for the 2018 Subsidy Programme for the Production of Original Song Albums. Each selected album will be granted a subsidy of up to MOP150,000 as well as the opinions and given professional advice from the members of the jury. The subsidy will be given to a maximum of eight beneficiaries and the application period starts from 18 December 2018 until 31 January 2019, at 5pm.




2018 Macao International Parade presents huge balloons of various mythological and folklore figures

Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the “2018 Macao International Parade”, celebrating the 19th Anniversary of Macao’s handover to China, was held on Sunday, 16 December. The closing performance was held at the Sai Van Lake Square in the evening, offering lively and cheerful performances by artistic groups. Huge balloons of various mythological and folklore figures of China and eight Portuguese-speaking countries appeared in the sky, while spectacular fireworks was set up at the Macao Tower, celebrating the handover.
