Commemorative Postmark Cancellation Service of “18th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region”

To celebrate the 18th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philatelic Shop of General Post Office, from 9:00 to 17:30 on 20th December 2017 to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “18th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region”.

“Macao Light Festival 2017 – AMOR MACAU” was splendidly unveiled at the Ruins of St. Paul’s tonight (3rd December) as an event organized by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and co-organized by Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, Cultural Affairs Bureau and Sports Bureau, as well as shaped by the collective artistry of over a hundred local transmedia creators. Under the theme “Wish-Making under the Stars”, the opening ceremony features dance performance choreographed and performed by a local dance troupe. The opening kicked off an array of projection mapping shows, light installations and interactive games at eight local attractions, taking visitors and residents onto a dazzling journey in search of love and dreams.





“2017 Macao International Parade”VIVA Ambassadors took volunteer oath

The “2017 Macao International Parade”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym) in celebration of the 18th anniversary of Macao’s handover to China, will be held on Sunday, 17 December 2017. This year, IC has once again joined hands with several local associations and organisations to recruit VIVA Ambassadors for providing assistance during the event. All VIVA Ambassadors declared their commitment to the event in an oath ceremony held on Saturday, 2 December 2017, at 3pm, at the Largo da Companhia de Jesus.



Consumer Council launches “Online Certified Shops” mechanism

Online shopping is a shopping mainstream nowadays, and to protect the rights of consumers when shopping online, the Consumer Council will extend its monitoring job on “Certified Shops” to “Online Certified Shops” in 2018. The mechanism aims to attract current “Certified Shops” that operates in the online business.
