1,000 shops awarded “Certified Shops” in 2018 Over 75 percent graded B or above

About 1,000 “Adherents” pass this year’s assessment and are awarded the 2018 “Certified Shop” emblem, 750 shops are graded B or above, and 11 of them are graded “Class A Certified Shops”. The Consumer Council indicates that annual assessment will be carried out carefully to ensure the quality of “Certified Shops” and enhance the image of Macao.







Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) Published the Mutual Evaluation Report of Macao, SAR

Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG), the international organization on Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, published the Mutual Evaluation Report (MER) of Macao SAR on 1 December. The report has been adopted by all APG members and has undergone a stringent ex-post review process by the global members of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to ensure the quality and consistency of the evaluation standard.


National professors team to support Macao with optimising emergency response system

To assist the MSAR Government in reviewing and improving its disaster response system and planning, a national professors team led by the Deputy Director of the National Commission for Disaster Reduction and the Head of State Council Emergency Response and Management Expert Team, Mr Shan Chunchang, arrived in Macao on 30 November, for a special seminar on Perfecting the Public Security System and Strengthening Disaster Prevention and Reduction Capabilities.

Children’s Choir – New voices wanted at CCM

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the Auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is looking for fresh voices to join its Children’s Choir in the coming year. Applications are now open to children aged 8 to 16 interested in developing singing skills and improving their musical culture. Auditions will take place at the end of December.
