According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, broad money supply retreated in February with a stable share of patacas. Meanwhile, resident deposits dropped from a month earlier while loans to residents remained broadly stable.

Reply to media enquiry about two violation cases of aviation security
All airports, including Macau International Airport, strictly require passengers to go into the restricted area with their valid passport and the boarding pass. The cases of two passengers entering into the airport restricted area without authorization and eventually stopped by the police and the airport staff a few days ago are indeed violations of the airport security requirements. We regret that such cases have happened in our airport.

30th Macao Arts Festival offers additional performances of several shows due to public demand
The 30th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), will be held from 3 May to 2 June. Considering the public’s overwhelming response, additional performances will be offered for the most sought-after shows, which will be on sale from 10am on 4 April at the Macau Ticketing Network outlets. Tickets may also be purchased through the internet or by telephone. Early bird discounts on tickets are only available until 7 April (Sunday). The public is advised to purchase tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are limited and subject to availability.

AACM publishes the final report of the Beijing Capital Airlines incident
The Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) has concluded the final report for the investigation of the Beijing Capital Airlines incident which took place in Macau International Airport last August. The final report states the contributing factors and the safety recommendations addressed to both the airport and the concerned airline to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
