UM members win Top Paper Award at International Communication Association’s annual convention

Prof Todd Sandel, along with his doctoral students, Ou Chuyue, Dorji Wangchuk, Ju Bei, and Miguel Duque, from the Department of Communication, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Macau (UM), received a Top Paper Award at the 68th Annual Convention of the International Communication Association (ICA) held in Prague, Czech Republic. The event attracted approximately 3,300 scholars from around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Australia.


UM holds appreciation plaque unveiling ceremony for Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College

In order to support the University of Macau’s (UM) long-term development, Lo Pak Sam Memorial Limited in 2015 donated MOP 30 million to the University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF) to support the effort of UM’s residential colleges to promote whole-person education. To express its gratitude to the donor, UM named one of its residential colleges as ‘Ma Man Kei and Lo Pak Sam College’ and held an appreciation plaque unveiling ceremony for the college today (6 September).

The Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) is paying close attention to the situation caused by typhoon “Jebi” in Japan and will keep close contact with the Macao travel industry and Air Macau for any developments.


Scandinavia elegance at CCM Noetic, by the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company

The Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, presents Noetic by the Gothenburg Opera Dance Company, one of Europe’s the edgiest contemporary dance groups in Scandinavia, to be staged on 18 November at the Grand Auditorium.
