Promotion ceremony for ranks of Assistant Commissioner and Chief Superintendent at PSP

A ceremony for the promotion to the ranks of Assistant Commissioner and Chief Superintendent was held today (2 January) at 2:30 pm at the Public Security Police Force Headquarters. Commissioner Leong Man Cheong, Deputy Commissioner Wong Chi Fai, Deputy Commissioner Lao Wan Seong and Acting Deputy Commissioner Vong Vai Hong officiated at the ceremony. Attendees also included heads and officers-in-charge of various departments, who congratulated the police officers on their promotions.

The 2018 “Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System” (MORS) Gold Pin Competition Award Presentation Ceremony was held today at the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT). Mr. Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of Macao Government Tourism Office, Ms. Cheung Wai, Head of Vocational Training Department of Labour Affairs Bureau, Ms. Rachel Chan, Vice President – Human Resources (Non Gaming) of SJM, Mr. William Visser, General Manager of Grand Lisboa Hotel, Mr. Lei Pou Loi, President of Macao Hotel Employees Association and Mr. Niek Hammer, Director of Macau Hotel Association presented awards to the winners.


Starting Today, Residents of Praia do Manduco can Provide Proof of Life at “Praia do Manduco” Centre for the Elderly

Beneficiaries currently receiving old-age or disability pension from the Social Security Fund (abbreviated to FSS in Macao) are required to provide proof of life in January each year. In order to facilitate beneficiaries living at the Praia do Manduco District, the FSS today set up a service counter for handling proof of life at “Praia do Manduco” Centre for the Elderly (Address: Rua da Praia do Manduco, Nos. 61-63, r/c, Macau), and its service hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (with no lunch break).


Cartography and Cadastre Bureau launches the mobile application of “Cadastral Information Website”

With the popularization of smartphones and applications of mobile data, more users use their smartphones as the main tool to access the internet. In order to facilitate mobile internet users to obtain land information, Cartography and Cadastre Bureau launched the mobile application of “Cadastral Information Website” (https://cadastre.gis.gov.mo) which provides the public with a service platform suitable for use on smartphones or tablets (iOS or Android).


DSI participates in online unified platform to provide appointment and ticketing service

To be in line with the SAR Government’s development of smart city and smart government services, starting from 3rd January, the Identification Services Bureau (DSI) expands channel for online appointment and online ticketing through the “Acesso Comum aos serviços públicos da RAEM” mobile application and website (https://booking.gov.mo) provided by the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP).



Lunar new year card on sale

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will issue a new greeting card for Lunar Year of the Pig titled “The Year of the Pig brings good auspices”. This card will be available for sale at the General Post Office, all post offices and postal kiosks on 8th January, 2019.


Supplements for philatelic album of Macao 2018

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will release the “Supplements for Philatelic Album of Macao 2018” on 8 January 2019, it will be available for sale at the Philatelic Shop of General Post Office and the Communications Museum. The album pages are pre-printed with all the stamps’ images of 2018. Your collections of stamps and souvenir sheets of 2018 can be put into the pre-printed pages for convenient collection.


Thematic pack “Chinese Zodiac”

Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau will launch the thematic pack “Chinese Zodiac” on 18th January 2019. This pack comprises of the 12 sets of stamps and 12 souvenir sheets of the third series of Chinese Zodiac released by Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau from 2008 to 2019, together with the technical data.


Busking Programme offers an additional performing venue next year Applications and renewal for Busker Cards are open

The Busking Programme of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has been well-received since its launch. In order to strengthen community revitalisation and create a cultural atmosphere, provide more performing platforms for local arts and cultural practitioners and promote quality street performances, IC will offer a Busking point at Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro in 2019 in addition to the existing three performing venues. This additional point will be available for Buskers to perform in the afternoon on weekends and mandatory holidays. In addition, IC is now accepting applications and renewal for the Busker Cards.
