30th Macao Arts Festival Outreach Programme offers diverse perspectives and transcendent experience

The 30th Macao Arts Festival (MAF) Outreach Programme features 19 programmes in a total of 30 activities, including talks, workshops, masterclasses, meet-the-artist sessions, accessibility services and movie screenings. Local and foreign artists will provide audiences with an all-round experience in different disciplines beyond the stage, bringing arts close by the public in daily lives.


30th Macao Arts Festival kicks off in May

The 30th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held from 3 May to 2 June. The 30th anniversary of the event marks an important transitional point. This year, the Macao Arts Festival is themed “a tribute to the classics”, hoping to pay tribute to all classics and show its determination to create new classics. By presenting classic productions to the audience, it will continue to inject cultural vitality into Macao.

Consumer Council conducted its specific price survey on diapers, over-the-counter drugs, and milk powder on 26 March for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Results of the mentioned survey has been uploaded to the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo), it is also available on the Council’s “Posto das Informações de Preços em Macau” iPhone and Android apps, as well as on the Council’s WeChat account page.



UM to hold workshop on comparative cultural thinking

The Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre (CPC) under the Department of Portuguese, University of Macau (UM), and Rui Cunha Foundation, will jointly hold a workshop on intercultural dialogues from 1 April to 4 April. Prof Ana Cristina Alves will be the speaker.





MGTO partners industry to steer personnel towards effective communication with persons with disabilities to foster accessible tourism

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and MGM co-organized the Seminar on “Effective communication with persons with disabilities towards a barrier-free environment” today (25 March), in tandem with the co-launch of the “Power in Our Hands” community e-learning program of Macao sign language. The two collaborative initiatives aim to steer tourism services towards greater accessibility and instill deeper awareness in tourism industry personnel about different special needs, supporting the scheme of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government to optimize the accessibility of the urban environment.
