Specific price survey results on 3 kinds of products

Consumer Council conducted its specific price survey on diapers, over-the-counter drugs, and milk powder on 6 September for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Result of the mentioned survey has been uploaded to the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo) and is available in the Council’s ‘Supermarket Price Information Platform’ iPhone and Android apps, and on the Council’s WeChat account page.


The latest information of tropical cyclone Tropical Storm "Guchol" (1717) Update at 2017/09/06 11:30

The tropical depression which is located at Luzon Strait has intensified into Tropical Storm "Guchol" (1717). "Guchol" will move to Fujian coastal area, more than 400km east away from Macao. Because of its relatively weak intensity (maximum wind speed is about 75km/h near the center) and relatively easterly track, it is expected that there is little threat to Macao. The development of "Guchol" will be being monitored closely by Our Bureau . More information will be released once it is expected to affect Macao.


IPIM visited Mozambique and participated at the 53th Maputo International Fair

Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Mozambique, the 53th Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM) takes place from August 28 to September 3, at Ricalta, the MarracueneDistrict of Maputo Province. The Executive Director of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Mrs. Irene V. K. Lau attended the said event, and during her stay in Mozambique visited the Embassy of the People´s Republic of China in Mozambique, local government agencies, business associations and chambers of commerce, to further promote the exchanges and cooperation between Mozambique and Macau in the fields of economy, trade and convention and exhibition.


UM professor again wins China’s highest award in international communication studies

Prof Wu Mei from the Department of Communication, University of Macau (UM), received the Outstanding Paper Award at the Fifth National Conference on International Communication Theories, which was organised by the State Council Information Office and hosted by the Centre for International Communication Studies (CICS). It is China’s highest award in international communication studies. This is the second time Prof Wu has won this award.


Monetary and financial statistics – July 2017

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, broad money supply continued to grow in July with a stable share of patacas. Meanwhile, both resident deposits and loans increased from a month earlier.


Consumer Council conducted specific product price survey on refrigerated, and frozen pork

For the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June, Consumer Council conducted its specific price surveys on refrigerated and frozen pork on 5 September. Result of the mentioned survey has been uploaded to the Council’s website (www.consumer.gov.mo).


Consumer Council conducts price survey on selling prices of fresh pork and vegetables from Zhuhai and Macao

For the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June, Consumer Council on 5 September collects prices of fresh pork from wet markets and supermarkets for consumers’ reference. The mentioned data collected during 30 August to 5 September are used for comparing the average selling price of the same products from Zhuhai. The relevant data has been uploaded to the Council’s website for consumers’ reference.


Commemorative postmark cancellation service of “Celebration of Teachers’ Day”

To celebrate the Teachers’ Day 2017, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau announces that a Temporary Post Counter will be set up at our Philatelic Shop of General Post Office, from 10:30 to 17:30 on 10th September 2017 to provide the commemorative postmark cancellation service for the “Celebration of Teachers’ Day”.
