“Artwork Exhibition of Police Officers 2017” of the Public Security Police Force

The “Artwork Exhibition of Police Officers 2017”, which is jointly organized by the Public Security Police Force and the Albergue SCM, will be held from 12 July 2017 to 30 July 2017 at the Albergue SCM (located at Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro No.8 in Macao).


Macao Film Project Selection for the 2017 Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Film Production Investment and Trade Fair Completed

The selection of Macao film projects for the 2017 Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Film Production Investment and Trade Fair (hereinafter “Fair”) was completed on 27 June (Tuesday). Nine projects were selected. The applicants of the selected film projects will be invited to attend the Fair on 25and 26July, where they will be able to meet film investors and producers from the three regions, promote the selected film projects and seek opportunities for collaboration.


Monetary and financial statistics – May 2017

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, money supply rebounded in May with a stable share of patacas. On the other hand, both resident deposits and loans grew from a month earlier.


UM professor receives Outstanding Young Author Award from IEEE

Assistant Professor Lu Yan from the University of Macau (UM) State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMSV) received the 2017 Outstanding Young Author Award from the Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), for his paper titled ‘A Fully-Integrated Low-Dropout Regulator with Full-Spectrum Power Supply Rejection’. This is the second time that a professor from the laboratory has received the award, showing that UM is now in a leading position in the world in microelectronics research.

Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) has the honour to organise “Master Chef Demonstration Workshop: Chef Graham Elliot” with MGM on 4 July. Consumer Council conducts price survey on selling prices of fresh pork and vegetables

For the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June, Consumer Council collected prices of fresh pork from wet markets and supermarkets on 4 July for consumers’ reference. The mentioned data collected during 28 June to 4 July has been uploaded to the Council’s website for consumers’ reference.

Cash Withdrawals at ATMs without KYC Function Are Suspended for Mainland CUP Cards whereas Macao Residents and Holders of Cards Issued by Banks of Other Jurisdictions Are Unaffected

To protect the legal interests of financial institutions and Mainland China Union Pay (CUP) cardholders, as well as to ensure the effectiveness of the measure to monitor ATM cash withdrawals by Mainland CUP cards, starting tomorrow (4 July), the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) is requesting those ATMs without “Know-Your-Customer (KYC)” techniques installed to suspend cash withdrawals services for Mainland CUP cards. Relevant services will be resumed as soon as the KYC function is installed. Holders of Mainland CUP cards can carry out cash withdrawals through ATMs with “KYC ATM” logo whereas Macao residents and holders of cards issued by banks of other jurisdictions are not affected.

Seminar on“Paris Agreement – Climate Change and Environment”

The Paris Agreement entered into force on 4 November of 2016, in which the People's Republic of China is one of the signatory Parties. The Paris Agreement aims to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change and to reinforce the ability of countries to deal with the impacts of climate change.
