Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) held a prize-giving ceremony today (3rd July) for the Photo Contest, Student Drawing Contest and Trophy Design Contest of the 28th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest.


AACM approves 142 extra and charter flights to meet the demand for travel in summer vacation

In July and August every year, the number of passengers travelling via Macau international Airport is expected to rise. To cater for the demand for travel of both Macao residents and tourists who take Macao as a transit point to travel to other places, the Civil Aviation Authority of Macao SAR (AACM) has so far approved 142 extra and charter flights for this summer vacation which are destined to mainland China, Taiwan China, Thailand, Republic of Korea and Japan.

In July and August every year, the number of passengers travelling via Macau international Airport is expected to rise. Macao Orchestra shares music with the community through its “Devotion Series”

The Macao Orchestra (OM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, is devoted to organizing different types concerts every concert season, sending blessings to all social groups through music. The Orchestra held the concerts “Love Music‧Love Devotion” at Hospital Conde S. Januário, Sir Robert Ho Tung Library and the Coloane Prison in June, contributing to the community with its musical performances and sharing the world of music with the public.

Financial Intelligence Office hosts the 24th Egmont Group Plenary Meeting

The Financial Intelligence Office (GIF) is hosting the 24th Egmont Group Plenary Meeting in Macao from 2 July to 7 July 2017 at the Conrad Macao Hotel, Cotai Strip. More than 350 delegates from 110 plus member financial intelligence units (FIU), together with delegates from international organizations and other observers, will gather in Macao to discuss anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) issues of common interest and share experiences in FIU matters.


Wealth Partaking Scheme 2017

In order to share the fruits of economic development with general public, the Macau SAR government has announced the “Wealth Partaking Scheme 2017”, under which, local permanent residents are entitled to receiving 9,000 patacas and non-permanent residents 5,400 patacas. With the Administrative Regulation No.18/2017 gazetted, the scheme comes into effect on 6th June 2017, and its implementation will officially start in early July.

Witnessed by President Xi Jinping this morning (1 July), Chief Executive Chui Sai On, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, Ms Carrie Lam, the Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Mr He Lifeng, and the Governor of Guangdong province, Mr Ma Xingrui, signed the “Framework Agreement on Deepening Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Cooperation in the Development of the Bay Area” at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.


Experience sharing by 3 ISSCC committee members from UM well received in mainland China

A delegation from the International Technical Program Committee (ITPC) of the IEEE International Solid-State Circuit Conference (ISSCC, also known as the ‘Chip Olympics’) 2018, including Prof U Seng Pan, Prof Mak Pui In, and Prof Law Man Kay from the University of Macau’s (UM) State Key Laboratory of Analog Mixed-Signal VLSI, successfully organised an ISSCC promotional activity in Wuhan Optical Valley and Nanjing Wireless Valley, with over 100 attendees from both academia and industry.


IFT Café holds “Looking Through the Fog – José Dores Solo Exhibition”

The Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) has always been committed to promoting the cultural industry in Macao.
