Twenty-first issue of C2 Magazine discusses the planning in cultural and creative arts

Published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and produced by 100 Plus Cultural and Creative Development Ltd., the twenty-first issue of C2 Magazine will be launched on Wednesday, 7 June. Successful cultural events can encourage creative arts in Macao. In this issue, we invite representatives from music, fashion and drama sectors to share their experience in brand building and programme planning.


UM scholar presents Libolo Project at CPLP ceremony in Beijing

Dr Carlos Figueiredo, a senior instructor from the University of Macau’s (UM) Department of Portuguese and the coordinator of the Libolo Project, recently presented the Book of the Libolo Project at the ceremony of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) International Day of the Portuguese Language and Culture held in Beijing, at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in China.


New travel convenience privileges for holders of the Macao Special Administrative Region Passport and Macao Special Administrative Region Travel Permit

Monetary and financial statistics – April 2017

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, money supply retreated in April while the share of patacas remained stable. On the other hand, resident deposits dropped from a month earlier whereas loans to residents posted an increase.


CCAC recruits volunteers for clean elections

The 6thLegislative Assembly Election will be held on 17th September this year. In order to promote the teenagers’ concern about the community and enhance their awareness of clean elections, the CCAC commenced the recruitment of “Volunteer Team for Clean Elections 2017”. Students from form 3 to form 6 are welcome to apply.

New site for the “Macao Cultural and Creative IndustriesWebsite” will be launched from 15 June. The new URL is www.macaucci.gov.mo, keeping the webpage contents unchanged. Residents can obtain the latest cultural and creative information through this new website.


International Conference on the Belt and Road and Macao’s Development Coming Up

The International Conference on Belt and Road and Macao’s Development, jointly organised by the Policy Research Office of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Macao Foundation and the Grand Thought Think Tank, will be held from 8 to 9 June, 2017 at the Convention Hall of the Macao Science Center. Upholding the Silk Road Spirit represented by “peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit”, the Conference aims to seek social consensus and explore how to better plan and accelerate Macao’s participation in and support to the construction of the Belt and Road, and how to achieve a win-win outcome -- contributing to the country and developing Macao herself, with the consideration of “what the country needs, what Macao is good at”.

Inauguration of “In Search of those Journeys – A Retrospective Exhibition of the Ferry Transport between Macao and the Islands”

Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the exhibition “In Search of those Journeys – A Retrospective Exhibition of the Ferry Transport between Macao and the Islands” was inaugurated on Saturday, 3 June, at 3pm, at the Nostalgic House of the Taipa Houses. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Assistant of the Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R., Shao Bin; the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao S.A.R. Government, Kent Ieong Chi Kin; the Member of the Cultural Consultative Committee, Tong Mui Siu; the Principal of the Macao Lingnan Middle School, Ao Cam Iong; and the President of the Coloane Son I Charity Association, Yeong Keng Hoi.
