Government responds to Macao references in U.S. Congress report on China

The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People’s Republic of China expresses its strong opposition to the content relating to Macao contained in a report lately issued by the Congressional-Executive Commission on China of the United States of America.


Macao and Qatar ink bilateral air services agreement with open skies provisions

The aeronautical authorities of Macao SAR and the State of Qatar concluded the bilateral Air Services Agreement (ASA) discussions today in Macao and initialed the Agreement, officially building the foundation and the framework for operating the air transport market between the two places.

Mortgage loans statistics – August 2018

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) and commercial real estate loans (CRELs) both rose in August 2018. With regard to the outstanding balance, RMLs increased from a month earlier whereas CRELs witnessed a monthly decrease.


Macao to hold youth forum exploring Greater Bay Area opportunities

The Government is to hold a youth forum, on 13 and 14 October, exploring the opportunities arising from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in terms of young people being able to pursue their aspirations while serving the country.
