Consumer Council released latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ Surveyed spots included 13 supermarkets in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish

Consumer Council conducted its first ‘Supermarket price survey’ in April on 11 April for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets near Areia Preta, Mong Há and Avenida de Venceslau de Morais in N. Sra. de Fátima Parish.


“Macao Artist Society Youth Committee Member’s Exhibition 2017” opens at Anim’Arte NAM VAN on Saturday

Jointly organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macau Artist Society, the “Macao Artist Society Youth Committee Member’s Exhibition 2017” will be inaugurated on Saturday, 15 April, at 12pm, at the Lakeside Gallery - S1 Room at the Anim’Arte NAM VAN, featuring over 50 new artworks by 22 members of the Society. The exhibition runs until 25 June (Sunday). The public is welcome to enjoy local artworks.


Mortgage loans statistics – February 2017

According to statistics released today by the Monetary Authority of Macao, new approvals of residential mortgage loans (RMLs) decreased whereas those of commercial real estate loans (CRELs) increased in February 2017. With regard to the outstanding balance, RMLs and CRELs both increased.


MGTO actively fosters regional tourism development tapping into international visitor markets with Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hong Kong

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) joined hands with the tourism departments of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hong Kong to roll out a “multi-destination” tourism promotional event in Indonesia today (10 April). MGTO strives to advance regional tourism cooperation in active support of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government’s endeavors in forging collaboration with countries and regions along the Belt and Road. The promotion also aims to tap further into the middle-haul markets, to attract a larger multitude of high-value visitors to Macao or other destinations as well in one trip.

Sharing Session by MPI Alumnus on Furthering Study in United States and Entrepreneurship

Macao Polytechnic Institute held a “Sharing Session by Alumnus Ye Tiansheng: MPI's Spirit Guides Us Through Life's Challenges”, in which the alumnus from the Bachelor of E-Commerce Programme Mr. Ye Tiansheng was invited to share with MPI students his experience of further study in the United States of America and of being an entrepreneur, and especially to convey a positive message to his junior classmates and to encourage them to follow their dreams. The sharing session attracted nearly 100 students and academic staff members to attend.


Macao Orchestra presents “Easter Concert” on 15 and 16 April at St. Dominic’s Church

The Macao Orchestra (OM), under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, presents the “Easter Concert”, part of the Orchestra’s Maestros with Charismaseries on two consecutive nights, 15 and 16 April (Saturday and Sunday) at 8pm at St. Dominic’s Church. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Principal Conductor of the Orchestra, Lü Jia, will not perform as planned, and therefore the concert will be led by local conductor Lio Kuokman. Four outstanding Korean singers will also present solo pieces, celebrating the Easter with the Macao Orchestra together. In addition, the original programme of the concert will be changed. Admission is free.


Registration for more than thirty handicraft workshops at the “Tap Siac Craft Market” is open

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and co-organised by the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM), the “Tap Siac Craft Market” will be held from 21to 23 April and from 28 to 30 April(every Friday to Sunday for two consecutive weeks), featuring more than thirty handicrafts workshops. The fee for each handicrafts workshop is MOP50. All interested parties can register for the workshops from today through “Activity Registration System” on IC’s website.
