Published by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and produced by 100 Plus Cultural and Creative Development Ltd., the twentieth issue ofC2 Magazine will be launched on Wednesday, 5 April. Education plays a vital role in the development of the cultural and creative industries. In order to explore the situation of education in cultural and creative industries and its prospects in Macao, representatives from the Millennium Secondary School, the Macao Polytechnic Institute and Todot Design are invited to talk about how education is engaged in the cultural and creative sector in this issue.


Exhibitors and Enterprises Express Satisfaction with 2017MIECF

After three consecutive days of the 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2017MIECF), the event has come to a successful close today (1 April). Many of its exhibitors and participating enterprises have used this “Green Platform” to co-operate and to build network of contacts, and have expressed their satisfaction with MIECF and satisfaction at achieving their desired results.


‘Green Public Day’ Shared Fun with MIECF Visitors

The final day of the 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2017MIECF) was the “Green Public Day”. Many members of the general public were attracted to participate in the latest edition of MIECF, an annual major event for the international environmental sector. The theme of the “Green Public Day” at 2017MIECF was “Let’s Create a Green Environment – Cherish Food and Waste Less”. The MIECF organiser aimed – via a series of environmental protection campaigns and education activities – to promote the concept of environmentally-friendly living and a low-carbon lifestyle.


Pan-Pearl River Delta Region Exhibitors Recognise MIECF’s Platform Function, Hoping it to Grow Continuously

Since the first edition of the Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF) in 2008, the governments of the provinces and regions of the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region (PPRD) have been co-organisers of the annual event. Each year, those provinces and regions organised high-level delegations to participate in MIECF, helping it to become a leading branded event on the topic of environmental protection, under the framework of Pan-Pearl River Delta regional co-operation.


Experts Share Insights at ‘Pan-Pearl River Delta Region (PPRD) Session’

The “Pan-Pearl River Delta Region (PPRD) Session” was held today (31 March) during the second day of the “Green Forum” at the 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2017MIECF). Public figures of the environmental sector from the PPRD Region were invited as speakers, while a Round Table Discussion also took place during the event. Mr Jiang Xiaoting, President of the Sichuan Province Environmental Science Association, shared insights on environmental protection and river basin management gained from recent visit to Brazil and Portugal organised by the Macao SAR Government, for a delegation of the “9+2” group of the PPRD Region. He stated China could learn from the rich experience of both countries in this area, in an effort to promote the development of environmental protection in China.


Exhibitors from Home and Abroad Promote Products and Services and enhance the soft power through MIECF

The 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2017MIECF) has attracted many enterprises and exhibitors from the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region, Portuguese-speaking Countries, the European Union (EU) and the rest of the world, leading to exchange of ideas and establishment of contacts, planting seeds for future cooperation. The second day of 2017MIECF witnessed the signing of seven agreements.


Opening of “Flowing Hues – Painting Exhibition by Pan Jin Ling and Pan Jin Xia”

“Flowing Hues – Painting Exhibition by Pan Jin Ling and Pan Jin Xia”, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, was inaugurated on Friday, 31 March, at 6:30pm, at the Chun Chou Tong Pavilion of Lou Lim Ioc Garden. The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R, Xu Ting; the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Kent Ieong Chi Kin; the Director of Macao Daily News, Lok Po; the Consultant of the Macau Artist Society, Chen Ji Chun; and the artists of the exhibition, Pan Jin Ling and Pan Jin Xia.


Green Business Co-operation Day Explores Latest Developments and Innovations

The “Green Business Co-operation Day”, organised by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), is one of the most important events at each annual edition of the Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF). This year's “Green Business Co-operation Day” was held today (30 March). The organiser invited business leaders, experts and scholars at home and abroad to explore topics related to innovation in the manufacturing industry and the tourism sector. Participants in the activity said they believe Macao can use its own advantages – in combination with the tourism resources of the neighbouring regions – to expand the opportunities for development of the local tourism industry.
