Government ensuring stable electricity supply in event of public emergency

The Government is paying great attention to, and has taken measures regarding, enhancement of the stability of electrical power supply from the mainland, as well as improvement of the resilience of all public utilities in case of public emergency.

Consumer Council conducted its latest ‘Supermarket price survey’ on 20 August for the implementation of Section 2b), Article 10, Law 4/95/M of 12 June. Surveyed locations included supermarkets near Horte e Costa, Avenida do Ouvidor Arriaga and Rua da Emenda areas in Santo António Parish.


Results of visitor expenditure survey for the 2nd quarter of 2018

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that total spending (excluding gaming expenses) of visitors in the second quarter of 2018 grew by 20.0% year-on-year to MOP16.50 billion and edged up by 0.5% quarter-to-quarter. Total spending of overnight visitors (MOP13.36 billion) and same-day visitors (MOP3.14 billion) increased by 17.4% and 32.7% respectively year-on-year.
