IFT brings in entrepreneurs to share experience of entrepreneurship
The Institute for Tourism Studies have integrated entrepreneurship course since 2015 in its entire bachelor degree programmes, namely Culinary Arts Management, Heritage Management, Hotel Management, Tourism Business Management, Tourism Event Management and Tourism Retail and Marketing Management. This fits the agenda set by our government to stimulate the diversification of our local economy as well as stimulate innovation via entrepreneurship.

MGTO lays out marketing plans for next year in Annual Marketing Meeting 2018
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) held its Annual Marketing Meeting 2018 in Macao from 19th to 21st June. 46 market representatives of MGTO, consultants and representatives of promotional entities came from different parts of the world to report their achievements at work and discuss the marketing plans to unfold next year, with a focus on creative strategies combined with gastronomic elements to promote travel to Macao and its new status as a Creative City of Gastronomy. The Macao Tourism Mascot named “MAK MAK” will become part of their promotions around the world to attract visitors from different source markets.

Edmund Ho and Leong Vai Tac meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Portuguese Republic in Lisbon
The Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and former Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, and the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Mr Leong Vai Tac, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Portuguese Republic, Mr Augusto Santos Silva, in Lisbon on 19 June, while visiting Portugal for an event to mark the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, a body also known as Forum Macao. Both parties exchanged views on enhancing economic and trade, tourism, culture, and education cooperation between Macao and Portugal.
