Delegates arriving in Macao ahead of APEC Tourism Working Group Meeting

Delegates are arriving in Macao ahead of the 67th APEC Tourism Working Group Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday (24 June). All arrangements for the event – including event venues, reception procedures, and security measures – are now fully in place.



Hourly Car Parks at Edifício Ut Koi and Edifício Lok Koi to Open on 22 June

To increase convenience for users and further enhance community amenities, the hourly car parks at Edifício Ut Koi and Edifício Lok Koi in Lot P of the Areia Preta reclamation area will open for use from 9 a.m. on 22 June. The project provides a total of 1,190 parking spaces for light vehicles and 629 parking spaces for motorcycles.




Consumer Price Index (CPI) for May 2026

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the Composite CPI for May 2026 rose by 1.43% year-on-year and 0.17% month-on-month. For the 12 months ended May this year, the average Composite CPI grew by 0.71% from the previous period (June 2024 – May 2025).


Visitor arrivals for May 2026

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that number of visitor arrivals increased by 3.4% year-on-year to 3,487,994 in May 2026. Same-day visitors (2,149,311) rose by 7.9% year-on-year while overnight visitors (1,338,683) dropped by 3.0%. Meanwhile, the average length of stay of visitors shortened by 0.1 day year-on-year to 1.0 day, with that of overnight visitors (2.3 days) remaining unchanged.


2026 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races: China Nanhai Jiujiang retained Open and Women’s titles of the Macao International Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race

Organized by the Sports Bureau, SJM Resorts, S.A., and the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China, and co-organized by the Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, the final day of the SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2026 took place today (19 June), the day of the Tung Ng Festival, at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre. This year, the event collaborated with the Cultural Affairs Bureau to host the project “Art Everywhere – Cultural vibes at the weekend”, creating a lakeside carnival themed around “Dragon Boat Racing” (an item on the Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Macao). This initiative seamlessly merged traditional culture and athletic sports into a leisure experience, fully showcasing the unique charm of Macao’s integrated tourism, culture, and sports development.
