UTM Attends Hangzhou Training Camp for the National Team of the 48th WorldSkills Competition – Hotel Reception
On February 2, 2026, the launch ceremony for the second phase of training for the National Team of the 48th WorldSkills Competition in the Hotel Reception category was held at Hangzhou First Technician College. Representatives from the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) were invited to attend the event, further strengthening coordination and cooperation with mainland training bases and supporting the national team as it prepares for the WorldSkills Competition.

MPU and University of Bologna Sign Dual Doctoral Degree Agreement Advancing the Development of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town
To further internationalize higher education in Macao, promote the cultivation of international talent, and foster interdisciplinary scientific research and innovation, Professor Marcus Im, Rector of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), led a delegation on a visit to prestigious Italian universities. During the visit, Professor Marcus Im and Professor Giovanni Molari, Rector of the University of Bologna (Unibo), signed the Agreement on Joint Award of Dual Doctoral Degrees on behalf of the two universities. This agreement marks a consensus reached between the two universities in joint research and cultivation of high-tech talent. It further strengthens academic cooperation between China and Italy, gathers international innovation resources for Macao and the Greater Bay Area, and drives the development of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town, yielding fruitful results.

UM, Tsinghua University jointly organise exchange programme focused on sustainability
Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College (HFPJC) of the University of Macau (UM) and Xiuzhong College of Tsinghua University jointly organised a four-day exchange programme under the theme ‘Sustainable·Future’. Held in Macao, the programme brought together more than 20 faculty members and students from both colleges for a cross-regional and cross-campus experience that combined academic discussion, cultural exchange, financial practice, and environmental sustainability.

Macao Polytechnic University Holds Spring Festival Seminar with Alumni Association and Student Union to Discuss the Development of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town
To celebrate its 45th anniversary, Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) held the “2026 Macao Polytechnic University Alumni Association Student Union Spring Festival Seminar”. Members of MPU’s administrative committee, heads of academic and administrative units, along with representatives from the Alumni Association and Student Union came together for the occasion. The event featured presentations on the development of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town and MPU’s campus within the Depth Cooperation Zone. Attendees listened to the annual activity plans and development proposals put forward by Two Sessions, fostering a collaborative exchange of ideas to jointly chart a new chapter in the University’s growth. The atmosphere was lively and joyful.
