CE meets President of Portuguese Republic in Lisbon

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, met with the President of the Portuguese Republic, Mr António José Seguro. They exchanged views on advancing high-quality cooperation between Macao and Portugal across multiple fields – including economics and trade, culture, education, and tourism – and on supporting Macao in further enhancing its role as a platform for China-Portugal cooperation.






CE meets Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs in Lisbon

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, met with Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Mr Paulo Rangel, in Lisbon, Portugal. The two officials exchanged views on enhancing exchanges and cooperation, talent attraction, Portuguese-language education, and other areas of mutual interest.




CE meets Portuguese Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion during Lisbon visit

The Chief Executive, Mr Sam Hou Fai, met with Portugal’s Minister of Economy and of Territorial Cohesion, Mr Manuel Castro Almeida, in Lisbon, Portugal, on Monday (20 April). The two exchanged views on further deepening economic and trade cooperation between Macao and Portugal, and on supporting Macao in better fulfilling its role as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.


CE vows to facilitate Macao’s role as ‘precise connector’ and bring Macao-Portugal cooperation to higher level

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government is committed to raising the standards of internal reforms and external opening-up, with the aim of building a business environment that is internationalised, law-based and stable. It is also committed to enhancing Macao’s unique role as a bridge and a “precise connector”, further to promote the various platforms for China-Portuguese-speaking countries cooperation, so that Macao can become an important station for boarding the “express train of Chinese development” in its engagement with the international community, especially Portuguese-speaking countries.
