【Expand European market】MGTO spotlights Macao at Lisbon Travel Market and ITB Berlin
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) participated in Lisbon Travel Market in February and ITB Berlin in March, capitalizing on both international travel fairs in Portugal and Germany once again to highlight Macao’s fascinating tapestry of “tourism +” and draw European travelers to Macao in multi-destination journey, elevating the city’s international reputation and influence in vigorous pursuit of Europe and other long-haul international markets. At ITB Berlin, MGTO showcased Macao’s vibrant scene as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy at the first of “Nihao! China” 2026 overseas promotion activities, in which Macao was one of the featured destinations.

Kenya granted visa-free access to Macau SAR Passport holders
The Macao SAR Government has received a notification from the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Beijing that the Government of Kenya has implemented entry measures requiring all travellers (including Macao SAR passport holders) to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) before entering Kenya. Unmanned aircraft activities are prohibited on Macao Peninsula on March 7 for smooth conduct of 2026 Chinese New Year Drones and Fireworks Displays
To ensure the smooth conduct of the “2026 Chinese New Year Drones and Fireworks Displays” for the evening of 7 March 2026, which has been postponed from the Lantern Festival, the Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) will implement an unmanned aircraft ban in the Macao Peninsula from 20:00 to 23:00 on 7 March 2026, according to Article 66 of the Air Navigation Regulation of Macau, approved under Executive Order No. 43/2021.

Pavilion of Amphibians and Reptiles, Aviary and Butterfly-Friendly Garden newly added to Seac Pai Van Park
The Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane is an important venue showcasing natural and ecological resources and providing popular ecological science education in Macao. To diversify the popular ecological science content in the park and make it more interesting, the Pavilion of Amphibians and Reptiles and the Aviary are added to not only provide a more suitable feeding environment for reptiles and birds, but also create a platform for the public to have close encounter with nature and acquire ecological knowledge. Furthermore, the first Butterfly-Friendly Garden is built in the park, in addition to the areas fit for butterflies to inhabit and feed gradually set up in local parks, gardens or green belts.
