“Let’s Hang Out” Debuts in Guangzhou with Over 9,000 Gifts to Be Won
To create a platform for showcasing products from Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs) and promoting cultural exchange, while highlighting the rich and diverse appeal of China-PSCs trade in Macao, the "2025 Let’s Hang Out – Lusophone and Macao Products Bazaar" (Guangzhou) will be held from 12 to 14 December (Friday to Sunday) at the North Square of the Guangzhou Grandview Mall. Following its successful debut in Hengqin, this event will take place in other cities on the mainland, featuring 26 Macao SMEs showcasing over 200 unique products from Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao. There will be PSC performances and various artistic workshops, along with exclusive on-site promotions and lucky-draw prizes.

International Forum on Mutual Learning among Civilizations to be held in mid-December contributing Macao’s dedicated efforts for the global dialogue among civilizations and exchange
In order to promote humanistic and cultural exchange at an international level, to narrate the historical paths of Macao and China, and develop Macao into an important bridgehead for the country’s high-level opening-up to the world and a vital window for the exchange and mutual learning among civilizations, the 1st “International Forum on Mutual Learning among Civilizations” will be held in Macao from 16 to 17 December 2025. The Forum is presented by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and supported by the Chinese Academy of History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

UM Macao Humanities Forum discusses how language reflects the world
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) of the University of Macau (UM) held the Macao Humanities Forum, where Alexandra Y. Aikhenvald, an Australian Laureate Fellow and professorial research fellow at the Jawun Research Institute of Central Queensland University, delivered a lecture titled ‘The world through the prism of language: what are gender and classifiers good for?’. The forum was well attended by students and faculty members.

Industrial exports survey for the third quarter of 2025
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the surveyed manufacturers of the Industrial Exports Survey were cautiously optimistic about the export outlook of the Macao Special Administrative Region for the next six months in the third quarter of 2025. Major exports in the third quarter included pharmaceutical products, electronic products/electrical appliances, alcoholic beverages & tobacco and garments.

Statistics on electronic payment transaction value – restaurants & similar establishments and retail trade for October 2025
Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that, on account of the National Day holidays, the electronic payment transaction values (hereinafter referred to as transaction values) for restaurants & similar establishments and retail trade in October 2025 grew by 12.0% and 27.0% month-on-month, and increased by 2.4% and 0.6% year-on-year, respectively.

Leveraging the Asia Pacific Food Expo to Expand Market Opportunities in ASEAN
To assist local enterprises in better grasping industry trends, expanding market opportunities in ASEAN, and enhancing market competitiveness, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao Special Administrative Region collaborated with the Industrial Association of Macau to set up a Macao Pavilion at the "Asia Pacific Food Expo 2025", which was held in Singapore from 5 to 8 December. This pavilion will feature 26 Macao small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and was expected to attract about 300,000 local visitors, showcasing approximately 350 “Made-in-Macao” and “Macao Brand” products, with some exhibitors specifically preparing new products for release on-site.

The Faculty of Law (FLL) of the University of Macau (UM); the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), Brazil; and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), Brazil jointly organised a seminar titled ‘Dialogue Between Macao and Brazil: Law and Artificial Intelligence’. The event brought together scholars, judges, researchers, and students from Macao and Brazil to engage in in-depth discussions on the impact and challenges of artificial intelligence (AI) in the legal sector.

The Unveiling Ceremony of the Henry Fok Ying Tung Library Grandly Held at MPU
On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), the unveiling ceremony of the Henry Fok Ying Tung Library was held on the morning of 5 December 2025 at the main campus. The ceremony was officiated by O Lam, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR government; Li Yongxian, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Chui Sai Cheong, President of the MPU Council and President of the Trustees Committee of the MPU Development Foundation; Ian Fok Chun Wan, Chairman of the Henry Fok Foundation and Vice President of the Trustees Committee of the MPU Development Foundation; Marcus Im, Rector of MPU; Chan Hong, Chief Supervisor of the Chinese Educators’ Association of Macau; and Chow Pak-fai, President of the Macao Catholic Schools Association. They were joined with representatives from various sectors of society, members of the MPU Council and MPU Development Foundation, as well as faculty, staff, students and alumni, all witnessing this significant event. During the visit to the Henry Fok Ying Tung Library, Ms. O Lam engaged with MPU students and conveyed her best wishes for their studies and future success.
