To promote the internationalisation of higher education in Macao, continue to deepen educational cooperation with Malaysia, and attract more outstanding global talent to Macao for further study and development, the ‘Study in Macao’ Education Fair, organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), was held on 4 September in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, drawing more than 1,000 visitors. During the education fair, Sam Hou Fai, the Chief Executive; Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia; Ng Wai Han, Secretary for Economy and Finance; Chan Kak, chief of office to the Chief Executive; Kong Chi Meng, director of the DSEDJ; as well as representatives from local educational organisations, namely Lim Kok Yan, president of The Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges of China, Malaysia, and Shim Boon Haw, department director at the United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia, officiated at the launch ceremony, marking the commencement of a series of promotional initiatives for the ‘Study in Macao’ brand in Malaysia.
