CE: Macao, Zhejiang to explore jointly Portuguese-speaking countries’ market

The Government will continue to help enterprises in Macao and in Zhejiang Province jointly to explore opportunities available in Portuguese-speaking countries, with a view to bolstering Macao’s function as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.




UM inaugurates Macao Centre for Research and Development in Advanced Materials

The University of Macau (UM) today (27 July) held a plaque unveiling ceremony for the Macao Centre for Research and Development in Advanced Materials. The centre, established with funding from the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) of Macao, has set up three research directions, namely new energy materials, environmental protection materials, and healthcare materials, with the goal of promoting the development of the advanced material industry in Macao and enhancing productivity in scientific research and technology in the city and across the country.

Macau New Neighbourhood holds plaque unveiling ceremony today (27 June)

Macau Urban Renewal Limited’s (MUR) project company Sociedade de Desenvolvimento do Novo Bairro de Macau (Hengqin, Zhuhai), Limitada today (27 June) held a plaque unveiling ceremony of Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) in Hengqin. The project has entered the inspection stage, marking the final phase of construction, where greenery facilities, external wall works. It is expected that the project will complete inspection and acceptance in August.


Members of two committees visited the Black Box Theatre

The Black Box Theatre of the Macao Cultural Centre, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from its Portuguese acronym), will officially open in early July. On 25 June, IC organised a visit of members of the Cultural Development Consultative Committee and the Cultural Heritage Committee to the new theatre. The President and Vice President of IC, Leong Wai Man and Cheang Kai Meng, as well as the Acting Director of the Macao Cultural Centre, Lei Lo Heng, accompanied the members of the committees in the visit, and introduced the facilities of the theatre and exchanged views on the use of the facilities.
