SJM and Macao International Music Festival Co-present Carmen – Opera in Four Acts by Georges Bizet give a press meeting with the cast

Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 37th Macao International Music Festival (MIMF) will stage Carmen – Opera in Four Acts by Georges Bizet at the Macao Cultural Centre at 7:30 p.m. on 3 & 4 October. This opera is co-presented by MIMF and SJM and co-produced by Opernhaus Zürich and Opéra-Comique. Considering the enthusiastic response from the public, additional seats are offered for the performances on 3 and 4 October. The public is welcome to purchase tickets and enjoy the show.


hush! Beach Concerts x Urban Sports Wellfest 2025 unveils the first round of activities and offers an outdoor cross-disciplinary event

Jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the MGM, and co-organized by the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the Marine and Water Bureau, and the Macao Government Tourism Office, the “hush! Beach Concerts x Urban Sports Wellfest 2025” will be held from 18 to 19 October at the Hac Sa Beach and Temporary Green and Leisure Area. Get to know the first round of activities and Fest Prelude to be launched, previewing the highlights of the outdoor cross-disciplinary event fused with music and sports.


Macao Week at the China Pavilion, World Expo 2025 Osaka to be launched on 2 October A multi-dimensional interactive showcase of Macao’s cultural brilliance

Hosted by the Macao Special Administrative Region (“SAR”) Government, the “Macao Week at the China Pavilion, World Expo 2025 Osaka" (“Macao Week”) will be held from 2 to 4 October 2025. The event is co-organised by the Macao Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), and the Cultural and Tourism Industry Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), executed by MGM China with full support from the Poly Culture Group. Under the theme “Experience Macao”, the three-day event will spotlight the city’s UNESCO World Heritage attractions, intangible cultural heritage (ICH), and festive celebrations, offering global visitors a glimpse of this unique city where East meets West, tradition blends with modernity, and diverse cultures flourish in harmony.


Qingmao Flashmob Giveaway for Two Days 150 Products from Portuguese-speaking Countries on Promotion at YoBuy

To build momentum for the upcoming 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (2nd C-PLPEX), which is scheduled for October, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao SAR is launching the 2nd C-PLPEX Qingmao Flashmob on the 6th floor of the Qingmao Port Building at YoBuy. The event commenced on 26 September and ran for two consecutive days. It featured 150 selected products from Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs) on promotion, alongside exclusive offers including cash coupons and shopping reward gifts. Members of the public were invited to participate.


“Celebrating the Festival Beneath the Lunar Brilliance” Moonlit Reunion: Neighbourhood Mid-Autumn Night to Take Place in Macau New Neighbourhood on 5 October

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) in Hengqin will host the “Moonlit Reunion: Neighbourhood Mid-Autumn Night” on Sunday, 5 October, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will feature dazzling themed lanterns alongside a special market, game stalls, craft workshops, and song-and-dance performances, with over a thousand exquisite gifts prepared to celebrate the festival with residents from Hengqin and Macao. Admission to the event is completely free of charge.

The Macao Grand Prix Museum (referred to as the “Museum”) and Wynn join hands once again to present the Macao Grand Prix Museum x Wynn Chocolate Supercar Exhibition from today (29 September). The exhibit is woven together by the internationally-acclaimed pastry artist with various food art awards, Bob Tay, and the renowned trendsetting artist Saiff Vasarhelyi across two spheres. Carrying the creative reimagination of motorsport and confectionary aesthetics by trendy art, the delectable masterpiece will be a new exhibit to spark much interest as part of the Museum’s various innovative means of carrying on the culture of the Macau Grand Prix and exude the destination’s charm as a Creative City of Gastronomy.




Macao Union Medical Center holds Open Day to draw enthusiastic public participation

To enhance Macao residents’ understanding of the Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (hereinafter referred to as “Macao Union Medical Center”) and to deepen their knowledge of its operational model and facilities, the Macao Union Medical Center held an Open Day on 20 September, attracting around 200 residents to participate.


Macao Union Medical Center officially opens PUMCH Centennial Exhibition on Culture and Medical Records

The Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (hereinafter referred to as “Macao Union Medical Center”) held one of its series of anniversary events on 21 September. The event, titled the “Opening Ceremony of the PUMCH Centennial Exhibition on Culture and Medical Records,” took place at the Cultural Exhibition Hall on the fifth floor of the Administrative Building of Integrated Services. The officiating guests of the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the inauguration of the exhibition were: Wu Wenming, Director of the Macao Union Medical Center; Choi Kin Long, Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, representing the President; Ho Silvestre In Mui, Member of the Strategic Development Committee of the Macao Union Medical Center and Acting Director of the Financial Services Bureau; Chan Weng Wa, Member of the Strategic Development Committee of the Macao Union Medical Center and Deputy Director of the Health Bureau; Lei Chin Ion, Vice President of the Strategic Development Committee of the Macao Union Medical Center and President of the Specialties Council of the Macao Academy of Medicine; Lo Song Man, Chairman of the Executive Committee of TDM; and Lok Po, Director of the Macao Daily News.
