The University of Macau (UM) today (14 May) held the Long Service Award and Outstanding Administrative Staff Award Ceremony 2024 to honour the dedication and contributions of its faculty and staff. A total of 198 faculty and staff members were awarded Long Service Awards for reaching the milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of service. The Outstanding Administrative Staff Award and the Most Creative Slogan Award were also presented at the ceremony.

The 16^th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum & Exhibition (IIICF), jointly organised by the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the China International Contractors Association (CHINCA), will take place from 10 to 12 June (Tuesday to Thursday) at Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao under the theme “Enhanced Connectivity for Win-Win Co-operation”. Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) indicated that the average rent per square metre of usable area for shops in Macao was MOP485 in the first quarter of 2025, down by 0.9% quarter-on-quarter. The average rents for office units (MOP290) and industrial units (MOP123) went down by 1.3% and 0.2% respectively quarter-on-quarter, whereas the average rent for residential units (MOP138) increased by 0.4%.
