Sections of parks temporarily closed to facilitate works for Macau Grand Prix

To facilitate the construction of stands for the 72nd Macau Grand Prix, the Municipal Affairs Bureau will temporarily close the section of Arts Park between Praça de Ferreira do AmaralandRua de Cantãofrom 25 September and the section of Reservatório Park near the Macau Grand Prix Building inAvenida da Amizade from 3 October respectively. In addition, the sections of Arts Park, D. Maria II Hill Park and D. Maria II Viewing Platform that are next to the race circuit will be closed during the event to be held from 13 to 16 November. The public are advised to pay attention to the construction instructions on site and the relevant arrangements.


IPIM Promotes the First Store Economy Programme and Other Business Opportunities in Portugal

In order to further implement the investment promotion and leverage the synergies of “MICE + Tourism”, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (“IPIM”) of the Macao Special Administrative Region established a booth at the “Experience Macao Roadshow in Lisbon”, hosted by the Macao SAR Government Tourism Office at the Praça do Comércio, Lisbon, Portugal. This marks the inaugural investment promotion event aimed at promoting Macao’s strengths as a China-PSCs platform, highlighting the “Macao + Hengqin” strategic positioning and the business environment in Macao and Hengqin, as well as the newly launched “Programme for Supporting the Development of Macao First Store Economy”. These efforts are geared towards attracting Portuguese and other international brands and investors to expand businesses in these two regions.

Macao SAR Government’s Briefing Session on Telecommunications Contracts and Licensing Arrangements

The Macao SAR Government previously announced that, with the aim of ensuring the stability of telecommunications services and in coordination with the legislative work on the Telecommunications Law, the MSAR Government has decided to extend the concession contract with CTM for a short period. Additionally, the Fixed Public Telecommunications Network Licenses will also be renewed until September 30, 2027. Regarding these arrangements, the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau held an information session on September 22 for the telecommunications industry and professional associations, during which detailed explanations of the relevant content were presented.


CTT promotes MACAO 2026 in Korea

To further promote the upcoming “Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition” (MACAO 2026), representatives from the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) attended the Philakorea 2025 World Stamp Exhibition, taking place in Seoul, Korea, from September 17 to 21. On the sidelines of the event, CTT held a reception dedicated to MACAO 2026 on September 20. At this reception, Director Lau Wai Meng presented the ongoing preparations and the highlights of the forthcoming exhibition to a group of guests, which included representatives of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP), the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), the Postal Administrations, and several philatelic societies and associations, as well as philatelic dealers, exhibitors, jurors, and commissioners. The presentation showcased the enthusiasm and distinctive character of Macao’s cultural heritage.


MICE Support Programmes Optimised to Promote the Integrated Development of Key Industries Between Macao and Hengqin

To further enhance the international competitiveness and development vitality of Macao’s MICE industry, and to promote the internationalisation, professionalisation, digitalisation and green development of local MICE events, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has revised the “Convention and Exhibition Stimulation Programme” and the “Financial Support Programme for Participation in Exhibitions and Trade Fairs” and held a briefing session on 18 September 2025 on the optimised content.
