MGTO inspects hotels and facilitates progressive resumption of tourism operations after typhoon

As Typhoon Matmo moved further away from Macao, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) assigned staffers to inspect hotel establishments, ports of entry and tourist attractions to gain an update on tourism resumption after typhoon.

Termination of immediate prevention stage

In accordance with the Chief Executive Dispatch, pursuant to Item 1 of Article 9 of Law No. 11/2020 (Civil Protection Law), the "immediate prevention stage" is terminated as of 13H00 on 5th October 2025.

Clarification by Civil Protection and Operations Centre on an Online Video About Flooding in Patane

In response to an online video about the severe flooding occurred in the vicinities of Patane, the Public Security Police Force has verified on the spot that no flooding occurs in the said location at present. The related video is the one when Typhoon Ragasa hit Macao earlier. The Civil Protection and Operations Centre urges the public not to start and spread rumours, as such acts may constitute criminal offences.
