The Ceremony of the 2025 Chinese Government Friendship Award was held on 30 September at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Rui Martins, vice rector of the University of Macau (UM) and director of the Institute of Microelectronics, was one of the award recipients. He attended the ceremony to accept the honour. The Friendship Award is the highest recognition awarded by the Chinese government to foreign experts working in China in recognition of their outstanding contributions to fostering and promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries.

The nuclear medicine examination service at the Islands Healthcare Complex – Macao Medical Center of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (hereinafter referred to as “Macao Union Medical Center”) has recently been officially launched for clinical use. In its first phase, the service will be provided to Macao residents referred by the Health Bureau.

The CCAC detected a case where a deputy superintendent of the Public Security Police Force who allegedly abused his power by repeatedly using the channel for staff with his family and requested his subordinates to handle the customs clearance procedures when entering Macao through the immigration station under his supervision, circumventing normal customs inspection procedures at borders.
